I'm confident that we can stay up. But it completely hinges on our current form continuing which it probably won't. A few losses and you get sucked in. It happened with FSW. We were on 14 points in November that season too.

I think we'll get out of it, but the idea that it's a given is a dangerous one, I'm sure Dyche is drumming it into them not to get complacent, it'll be a big task getting safe after such a big points deduction and those at the bottom will be using this narrative that they're rubbish and already down as motivation.

Need to pick up some wins over the next few games to push us away from that bottom pack again, we know this team can struggle with the pressure when they're down there but with the support they'll get through the season hopefully they'll thrive on fighting the attempt by the premier league to relegate us.

I have a feeling (maybe hope over experience) that at least one player will stand up to be counted and lead by example, be it DCL or Beto suddenly going full super Kev from ‘99 or someone else showing previously unseen form and leadership.

Current form we'll be fine. If anything it'll get the lads all fired up. 3 points against UTD will shut a lot of people up. I know we've said it a hell of a lot in the past couple of seasons. But next game huge not just points but pride and telling the PL we've just beaten one of your darlings shove that up you arse

I have a sneaky feeling that one player to stand up and be counted will be Jimmy Garner! Plus we will have Seamus back geeing them on.

It happened in the 'Dogs of War' team in the 90's, players like Parkinson who previously had been almost invisible, with others, he really took the game by the scruff of the neck

We'd gained 14 points from 12 games.

10 of them 14 points acquired over 12 games have now gone.

12 games which contained a very favourable run of home fixtures.

The level of confidence that we will be fine after that deduction is baffling to me.

It's another scrap IMO and we need to recruit well in January because we we are too light in key areas and injuries are a thing.
Yes and no. First thing, we lost those favourable games you mention so that doesn’t account for why we got so many points. DCL being back and Brathwaite establishing himself are the game changer. 10 of those points came in the last 6 games.

We aren’t a relegation team, we’re a middle table team. Docking the points doesn’t mean we go to garbage, we’ve got enough about us to see this out.

does add extra stress but

agree 100% we need add to this squad, i am just ready for the fight now we have games and we just have to start from united. Also depends when or if we can get this appeal and hooefully get a less/ or no points taken off

Those favourable home games were indeed lost, and we don't get them again is the point.

And like I've said for years - a fit Calvert-Lewin is a massive difference but we can't rely on him to stay fit.

Any injury to Calvert-Lewin, Tarkowski or Branthwaite and our struggles increase big time.

People are looking at the last 5 weeks - me I'm looking at the last 3 years.

Our run of games until the new year are massive.
