You don’t know it will hammer their goal difference enough for Burnley’s to be better.

I’m not sure why you have referenced Villa, as they got 9 points from their final 11 games. Not 11.

Newcastle were 16th after 27 games and sat on 27 points.

Not a good comparison.

Ha! Ok Newcastle after 26 games then.. and Villa got 8 points from 4 games to stay up as I said.

Bizarre thing to argue about tbh, you said it would be ‘incredible odds’ for Burnley to overtake Brentford ‘even if they only get a couple of draws’

Brentford are literally 9/1 to be relegated with the bookies. ‘Incredible odds’ ?

They’re 13/1, and it’s not a bet on Burnley to overtake Brentford which is what we’re talking about. Watford exist.

Newcastle after 27 games had won 7 times. Burnley have won 3. I don’t understand how you think that’s a useful comparison.

9/1 on Bet 365. Ahh Watford getting the same points from 2 less games than Burnley is bringing the odds down?
I’m afraid not. Watford are 1/6 to go down, Burnley 8/13

That’s not how probabilities work. The odds are higher for Brentford to get relegated when there are two sides chasing to stay up versus one. Surely you understand that.

You are the one calling 9/1 ‘incredible odds’. Indeed your scenario of Burnley overtaking them if Brentford only got 2 more points, is probably more like 2/1.

No point going in circles as you’ve been proven conclusively wrong by the actual betting odds.

lol

If you’re unable to see the difference between the odds for Brentford to finish 18th, 19th or 20th vs the odds for Burnley to finish above Brentford then you’re right, there’s no point in carrying on the conversation.

As an aside, who references the shortest odds when betting, that’s just weird.

If you think Burnley to finish ahead of Brentford is considerably higher than 9/1, then I’ve a bridge to sell you. (And that wasn’t even your argument.)

I’m going from Bet 365 rather than cherrypicking.

Now bore off.

Don’t know why you’re being so arsey.

You started picking on one part of a post that wasn’t even directed at you, but now you’re telling me to bore off ?

And I’m not cherrypicking, I’m using odds checker.

Last night is exactly what i dread. Not so much maybe burnley but i can see watford pulling off a few results like that.
We're to predictable. Our survival will be more not losing to both of them imo.

It a a good point. The odds suggest we are due an unexpected result somewhere but I just don’t see it in us to go to a West Ham or Leicester and get something. It means there will be huge pressure on us picking up our points from the below 5 games. I only see 7 or 8 points from that lot which probably means we will need something from elsewhere.

Burnley
Watford
Brentford
Leicester (H)
Palace

The actual odds are the ones on the exchange and on there Brentford are 14/1 for relegation. The odds on a bookmaker like bet365 are cut down so they can make a profit
