I appreciate that this is first and foremost an Everton related football forum, however I'm sure there's enough interest in having a current affairs forum under the GOT umbrella.

Save getting the Ale House clogged up with endless political arguments subsequently deleted - a dedicated forum, I'll even offer to moderate it

Mods, owners, debt-holders etc what's the view?

No, if you read the article, it says quite clearly that wealthy people in the north are more likely to vote Labour, whilst poor people in the south still vote Tory (generally).

True, the fairer generalisation is that the north are Labour whilst the south are Tory. But, and I know it's dated, in generally the south is richer than the north.

Basically says that everyone that votes Labour is from the north, and everyone that votes Tory is from the South. Neither party has hardly any success in the other part of the country.

What can also be said is that the 'two nations' is based on class. Because there is such a strong 'no party represents me I will not vote' then it is hard to say this area id Tory or that area is Labour. That goes for the 'elected' government that only gets in with a minority of the electorate voting for it.
