They won a trophy more recently than us, competed in a champions league final a few years back and have been able to attract better and more high profile players than us for the entire existence of the Premier League. The only people who still think we are a bigger club than them is our own fanbase and the only way we can argue we are bigger is by league titles won, all of which were won when half our fanbase were not even born.
No marks.

They know it too.

I don't think you have read the script mate.

From a footballing perspective yeah playing CL football with Kane and Son makes complete sense to a player wanting to be at the top.

Given the character Richy is though, wait until he’s sat on the bench behind Kulisevski after Conte gets fed up of his poor left foot. Then when he watches Moura getting on ahead of him.

Imagine Richy when the Spurs fans obsessed with Kane and Son consider him merely a bit part player, maybe there’s even some boos when he throws in one of those stinkers he can have.

He’ll never ever be a legend there no matter what he does given the two players he’s playing with. If he starts he’ll be the first sub off in that front line all the time. He’s never going to feel that need of being the main man as he was here.

Goodison would watch a lot of his utter nonsense for games in a row without complaint and then would worship him as a hero as soon as he buried a chance. Spurs fans aren’t going to be getting anywhere close to that.

As many have found out, there’s more to football than money and trophies despite what the media tell you.

No mate Carragher and Nev told me all that matters is playing for a big 6 side and watching them hoover up trophies and CL places every season.

It's alright though so long as I get to put a cheeky acca on down the bookies and watch Man City vs Liverpool on Super Sunday !

?

It's not what we would have preferred nor is it a fair valuation, yet sadly it appears the market price when you consider the urgency in which we had to sell.*

We need to reinvest the money we've brought in from Richarlison, but I keep have this niggling feeling that we'll make a net profit this summer.

*if the press talk is true.

Agreed. It’s market value

And before we get carried away, the vast majority of that fee will paid over years, depending on the length of the contract signed. Thats just how most transfers are constructed.

I dont know. I think Richarlison has the ability to keep on stepping up a level. He made the transition to the PL with Watford and caught the eye; then a big money deal with Everton didn't phase him and he becomes our best player and establishes himself as a Brazil starter; and I believe he'll find a way of working to Conte's plan at Spurs. He's not gone there to be a spearhead but to work hard for and with Son and Kane. He maybe doesn't get a lot of game time at first, which may suit him in the run up to the World Cup. No one wants an injury on the eve of that.

He'll see Conte as short term at Spurs and know he can use that club as a platform to get to Italy or Spain's best clubs. Him and his agent have plotted out an instrumental path for his career and it's bang on course.

Looking forward to him trying to steal the ball off Kane before a penalty, or sulking his way off the pitch when Conte subs him off when they're 1-0 down.
He'll know not to do that. The environemnt is different and he'll adapt and survive there.

He's an intelligent football player.
