But he wasn't misquoted. Only Bobby appears to think that.
So your theory is that LB told him to shove it, that we have no chemistry and he's glad he put it into the media.

And RM has responded by saying LB was misquoted and has apologised?

Ey, fair enough. I can't see it personally.

"Behave". lol
Ok mate.

And am I seriously suggesting the opposite of what I've clearly set out as how I imagine the conversation went? The post you've replied to? Ie RM has pulled him up and LB has said "I did say those words but they are out of context". There is clearly a prompt from RM in my prediction of the conversation.

Oh dear lad. Oh, oh dear.

You said Baines wasn't forced to apologise

I asked if you seriously felt that Baines would have voluntarily sought out the manager and apologised for giving an honest assessment of our current plight? Try answering that simple question

Your imaginary conversation didn't even warrant a response, as it was meaningless btw.

I'm telling you now he's finished, Martinez will not be manager here for next season.

I said it the other day, Moshiri will get in a proven European manager before he opens his wallet to the tune of 100m+, it just makes sense.

If we all were in Moshiri's shoes, we'd check the teams record over the last 2 seasons and get in another manager before investing into the squad.

I've just mentioned it before, but Baines may have apologised for the grief it has caused, not for what he said.

If it was true then we would be the only premier league side in the past 20 odd years that wins a cup game and because of it heads dropped.

Winning cup games are meant to be a positive, it is just an excuse to wave about for the results, another in a long line.

that is why he is getting the same results again and yet he can't figure it out. I keep referencing it but at west ham it was this keep attacking idea that lost us the game. That is not what a good team does so late in the game.

the age old question is why do we constantly concede when playing 4 defenders and 2 holding midfielders? By that type of team we should be shutting most teams out!

But it was the same approach that sent wigan down, this is the crazy thing. It is the same approach as to why we are sitting miles behind worse teams than us that at the very least can pick results up. What is the cut off point? Losing against watford? Another attempt at sending us to 15th. Hell if we dont start winning then norwich are not far off now! Big game this weekend, anything other than a win and he should be getting told he isnt here next season. 4 straight losses should be sackable form now.
We have a busy month ahead, we have 9 games in 5 weeks. Sacking a manager in the middle of that could improve the team, or it can disjoint them, more so than it is at the minute, but I can tell you now, he's not going to be sacked before the cup game, I'd almost put money on it, even if we lose every game, which isn't going to happen, but I'm pretty sure they're giving him a chance to win the FA Cup at the very least

Oh the irony!

I think RM has sought Baines out. By naming RM as the first contributor to my meaningless, imaginery conversation, I have quite clearly implied that RM has sought Baines out.

It's simple, simple stuff this.

My point is the quotes have been published in full. There was no ambiguity in what Baines said. He wasn't misquoted or misinterpreted.

this is what I don't get. WHY wouldn't they sack him before the cup match? Pep Guardiola said 'defending is the coaches job, attacking is the players instincts' or to that effect. If you believe his words, then that means Martinez has done pretty much f-all for our squad.
