No. There headline and their initial quote had 'no chemistry'. Nothing to imply it was just on the pitch and none of the subdued language 'the chemistry is not quite there' implies it's not far off and achievable.

How would that affect anything? This poll will have absolutely no impact on the decision of Martinez staying or going. Don't get me wrong it's good for us fans to see where fellow blues stand on the issues, just don't think polls have much of an impact outside of here.

It's not as if Martinez is going to be shoved into the center circle at Goodison while the crowd chants their opinion, waiting to see Moshiri's reaction such as

Why do you want a professional footballer in the spotlight in that way rather than just playing without pressure.
Baines may not have been happy over the Man u rumours but kept his own counsel and didn't fall out off the pitch with people. This is probably nothing to him compared to that.

The whole club is in the spotlight because of our season and has been for a long time.

Direct quote from Baines... where he clearly states on the pitch, albeit not just on the pitch.

End of the day, Baines has said this, the headline in the echo article might have been a bit different, but Baines has said these words - reading what he said there is no way they have misinterpreted it unless the put their own words in his direct quotes.

Why he should apologies for something which looks to be true is beyond me.

Leighton Baines has admitted “There’s no chemistry between the players”.

“You are only really secure as individuals when you are winning games but even then we will make changes from time to time with what is required tactically,” Baines told the ECHO.

“That’s our season in some respects now, it certainly is from the fans’ point of view and we’ve let them down a lot, it’s our only way of making it up to them.

“To go on and have success in the Cup now. You had the travelling fans there again on Sunday and they are amazing, they follow us wherever we go and generally they have seen us win a few games this season but unfortunately we weren’t able to give them the result or performance we wanted to.”

Bobby would,nt know the meaning of the word if it smacked him in the face every morning before he got out of bed.
Until we hear from Baines I am not taking brown shoes words as gospel yesterday.

My long held view for what it's worth:

Mr. Martinez cares no more for Everton than he did for Swansea or Wigan.

We are merely a shop window in a series of shop windows, to air a style of play that he hopes will help him to aspire to his goal of managing in Europe.

Hence his stubbornness to abandon it.

Nope. They've done what many tabloids do and taken the actual quote used a couple of words, edited it and made it sound more sensational. They've used quotation marks to make it sound like it's direct. It isn't

Our problem is his treatment of Baines, yet he gushes like BK over Lukaku's even more damaging comments the second he flies out of the country for international duty.
