Stan Collymore said earlier, if you replace Lovren, Sakho and Mignolet with Huth, Morgan and Schmeichel they would be kicking on for top 4. It got me thinking if these minor changes we had, let's just say Huth and Morgan, two no nonsense defenders, we would be fighting it out for the title! I think Collymore only mentioned Liverpool because they were playing tonight but if Everton had those tweaks....

Not under Roberto we wouldn't! a) He wouldn't have those two anywhere near one of his teams, and b) He'd having them pass it back and forward amongst themselves, occasionally give it to Barry, get it back knock it to Joel and on and on it would go!
The idea that "tweaking" this makes it all good all of a sudden is nonsense! The only tweak necessary is someone to order a Delta taxi for Roberto, and sooner rather than later!

Surely the money argument is out of the window at this point.

He was given £14m to turn the season around in January, and wasted it on yet another winger who he doesn't have space in his team for.

I've always wondered why he didn't take the Liverpool job, and I'm now fairly certain that it's because they outlined clear targets to be achieved within a set timeframe.

What are your expectations for the season now so you are happy to give him longer?
I think he needs to go even if we win the cup. He may get another season if we do so, but I don't believe he has the talent to match Mr Moshiri's ambitions for Everton.
It's inevitable for me, just a matter of when.

Well it's probably just a matter of when as far as I'm concerned too. Hope I'm wrong.
In the mean time, which could be another season or two, I'd rather focus on what's achievable than what can go wrong.

It's inevitable. Happens all the time when a wealthy owner comes to a football club.

Being deadly serious, in my opinion if Martinez gets another season (however he achieves that am not sure)... the only thing which we need to worry about being achievable next season is getting to 40 points.

Luckily we have some ridiculously awful teams in the league this season.

So in your realistic opinion what is achievable?

3-- Put into context, we have lost to Man Utd, Arsenal and were very unlucky against West Ham. Hardly the stuff of nightmares.

Seriously, Zat.....losing three games in a row and taking no points from the nine on offer is indeed the "stuff of nightmares".

Especially when two of those games were at home.

And even more especially when no one can see where the next win is coming from.

How many consecutive matches must we lose before it becomes the stuff of nightmares for you?

Not blaming anybody. You do know that Duncan was one of the players opposed to Moyes more than most in that 03/04 season? He then went on to score THAT goal against the mancs to help us secure a place in the top 4..... He was then brought back to the club by Moyes as a coach.

What I'm suggesting is that a few disagreements do not have to mean the beginning of the end for a manager. Neither do a few poor results....

a few poor results"?? You do realise this has been going on for nearly two years now! Everton finished 11th last year, up to now have won four, (yes four!!) league games at home this season which includes Villa, Newcastle and Sunderland! Currently we sit in 12th, oh and the game in hand you mentioned in another post is away at A*****d three days before the semi final!
This is not just a few poor results!
