Not suggesting it's the result of trolls and wums at all. Just don't really think the majority of Everton fans want to sack our manager tomorrow.

He's been arse poor in the league for the last two seasons, but he wouldn't be the first successful manager to oversee a choppy few first seasons.

I admit, I'm running out of excuses for him, and even as somebody who might be viewed as an ardent supporter, I say that he's got 6 months MAX, to turn it around....
You did suggest exactly that. Sorry.

He's ultimately taken us backwards over 3 years lad. He's doesn't deserve another 6 months as he's proven he's a pig headed egotist, who holds his wretched philosophy above results for this football club

Goodison btw?

You'd think with all this heat on him he'd just tone the crap he talks down but he just keeps churning it out, and in fact he's getting worse. He's just been on SSN and I instantly shouted '[Poor language removed] off out of my club'. I have no interest is listening to him anyone. I avoid it as best I can.

Jim White's not that bad mate.

Dunno where to post this, be arsed making a new thread but it'll probably turn into a pro/anti Martinez one so I'll put it here.

Watching some videos of us in around 2008-2010, and I miss that team. The best one I can remember seeing (I was a nipper in the 80s). If you compared today's team to the team in the late 2000s:

Howard/Robles = split

Hibbert/Coleman = Coleman
Jags/Jags = same player
Lescott/Mori = Lescott
Baines/Baines = same player

Osman/Lennon = Osman
Arteta/McCarthy = Arteta
Fellaini/Barry = Fellaini
Pienaar/Cleverly = Pienaar

Cahill/Barkley = Cahill
Yakubu/Lukaku = split

It's probably very opinionated, for example obviously Lukaku is going to be the better player than Yakubu over his career but the Yak was World Class that season, but I don't see this magical team everyone talks about? I think we peaked at the FA Cup Final against Chelsea and have been on a steady decline since barring the odd blip like Martinez's first season.

This isn't a pro or anti Martinez post, just bouncing a few thoughts around. Are we really that much better, and are we over rating a lot of our players?

You'll always find an argument for and against. Makes this thread great ;)
Be boring otherwise.

I just see Martinez in charge as a massive waste of Everton's time, he won't change his ways.....what is the point!!

Nah, just suggesting the poll results might not be a true reflection. And at other times, certain posts and conversations may be made that are also not a true reflection.

I think he's on borrowed time, but I don't think it would do us many favours to sack him in the morning mate.

How could it be any worse, we are shambolic!

Go read every other forum on the net for confirmation that the feeling here is a fair reflection of the reality

I think we stand a better chance of a cup success if we bin the man now after this weeks events. He's clueless

Didn't think I'd ever say this, but seeing as the league's gone completely, a short term stint for Big Dunc to step up and rally the troops, get them passionate about Everton again, and look to a high profile manager in the summer.

Yeah, the internet, the fairest and most unbiased election there has ever been. Still think we're above firing our manager in the middle of frigging April, ffs.

...it's an interesting thread innit, genuinely never known a manager throw up so much - well, not 'divide' as such - let's say 'differing of opinion' for a long time, and I think a LOT of that's to do with the fact that you simply just don't know what you're gonna get with EVERTON these days. Though, granted, we seem to be pretty consistently dire at most stuff at the minute. And he's just a big ball of Spanish contradiction and fluff for the most. He's deffo stirred the pot, I'll give him that like...but by doing so I feel he further isolates himself as the weeks tick by now.

There's a lot of passion and anger involved on here at times as well, guilty of it meself on occasion, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, show's we're arsed I suppose.

I'm in a weird place with it all at the moment. I very much want him gone, sooner rather than, yet I feel somehow a bit sorry for him because he seems to be paddling in waters way too deep for him...I'm looking forward to the semi despite being more hopeful than confident about it, yet I'm now dreading our league games HUGELY, all of them...and I don't want us to become a 'club in turmoil' kinda news thing yet I DO want it noted that all isn't well...

Strange times indeed, we sit where we sit in the table with little hope for improvement, we have the striker we always craved...and we have a billionaire owner and are in a semi-final...yet the discontent is massive and that's all down to one man. Weird...

Didnt say i was happy. But im not losing my mind over results which match the budgets the manager has been given.

Mate that's a horribly depressing way of looking at football. We are 12th and should be happy cause that's what our teams worth. No other circumstances matter. If I saw things that black and white I wouldn't support club football.

But is it is our team 12th best in financial power? Our two strikers are worth a combined 40 million. He inherited a squad of players worth tens of millions, Baines, Coleman, Mirallas to name a few. I am.too lazy to research right now but I'm sure our team is backed better than some teams ahead of us.
