You're very 'reactionary'.

"Blind forgiving love?' -- Ive not stated i like Martinez particularly, i've clearly said he should have the summer and cash to spend + see how he does next season. Thars hardly 'blind forgiving love'.

As for wanting a different manager to win the cup, well its just bizarre. His record shows one FA cup to his name and also this season he has got us to 2 semi finals -- good cup form. I'd go with that rather than an unknown quantity.

As for a 'audience', i actually sent a message to oldblue on this thread which led to heaps of responses. Also as @Elong has compiled another thread showing one or two posters who want the team to lose today (also seen a couple more on here) then its a valid point that some people need to take a look at themselves....or do you want us to lose so that Martinez gets sacked?

Personally i think unless someone has some serious personality issues with Martinez @Saint Domingo posted something which was spot on. If Martinez can improve results then why would anyone want him gone?

I dont have any agenda + am consistently saying simply that i like his signings overall and want to see what he can do with some money this summer.

Hardly revolutionary.

Good cup form?? Pack it in he's won one cup, a semi final is not success.

Have a look at managers that have won the cup and amounted to f-all. You're getting confused with reality and what ever football games you play at night.

Should try reading our history mate, it'll help you a little

Zat you defend him to the hilt even when he's blatantly in the wrong as in the Baines presser situation

I'm not going to repeat the list of nothing teams we beat to get to the LC semi or the FA cup quarter where we met a barely recognisable Chelsea. Please don't try to use those to give him credit.

Even you could have gotten us there

All you are trying to do is get the pitchforks out for anyone with a different opinion to you

The only fork needed is the one to stick in Martinez because he's done

So if we would have beaten premier league sides in each round as opposed to the teams we beat in both cups he would get more credit?

Can only beat who hes drawn against...

"Pitchforks" another reactionary comment...

Im bewildered that you seem so wound up based purely on me saying id give him a summer and see how he does next season.

I think (and others have said the same) that moshiri will be patient and do just that. Im not the reactionary one here, its the opposite.

I suggest you read our history and see how many times we have made two semi finals or better in the past 21 seasons when a now 67 year old Joe Royle brought home the FA Cup.

I didnt say 2 semis were success either. Kind of bizarre to read "Martinez Out" usual suspects changing what i write just to have a pop at me.

Shame on you

Chelsea are unbeaten in the league under Hiddink and last lost in December to the foxes. To not give RM any credit for beating them seems more feulled by your dislike for RM than anything. We didn't let them play well, which was credit to our players. We've been rubbish since admittedly but it seems you try to discredit everything he does.

I wonder why Kenwright is putting himself through all this pressure, would have thought someone near to him would have advised him that all this uncertainty is no good, for all concerned.

Not sure any decision to get rid of Roberto will be down to Kenwright, he may have an opinion, but whether that will have an influence I'm not too sure.

That's the thing, we don't understand what the whole dynamic will be within the club. Makes it hard to guess what's going to happen.

His total record against teams from the same division as us in the cup stands at a quite remarkable 4 wins and 5 losses in 5 seasons across all cup competitions - his record in European knockout games stands at 1 win and 1 loss, exactly how is that a good record ?

Semi final means absolutely nothing, to illustrate such i bet without looking at the net for the answer you wouldnt have a clue who the losing semi finalists have been in any cup competition say from Martinez first season in charge

he had one good cup run in his time at wigan - other than that they basically bombed out the first half decent side they tended to meet
4-1 Blackpool
2-0 Notts County
2-0 Arsenal
1-0 Bolton
2-1 Palace
2-1 Swindon
0-0 Bristol (loss on pens)

In those 4 seasons he beat 2 premier league teams in those 7 cup runs - Hull and a newly promtoed West Ham.

In the FA Cup win he beat us and Man City, so across 8 competitions and 4 seasons he managed to win a total of 5 games against premiership opponents

He is a manager who had one lucky season and run in the cup in his last one at Wigan besides that he has shown himself to be a bog average level manager in the cup and terrible in the league

Good research. I like it. Stats are always better than opinions. Proves that Martinez is a myth.
