Esk, I would be amazed if Moshiri came in and didn't have control of the board. Bill and Woods will keep their positions, but do you really think Moshiri, investing £87m in the club, will allow them to outvote him? I wouldn't be surprised if Moshiri had at least the right under a shareholders agreement to appoint several directors and that no important decisions can be taken without their consent.

Nobody would want that tho, seems a bit hostile for people who are expecting a partnership to grow.

As Esk said, its likely the other 2 fellas wont be around for that long, Moshiri will hopefully and most likely bring some of his mates in sooner rather than later IMO.

I'd never have a minority stake without having control of the Board.

This suggests two things, Moshiri is in agreement with Bill and Jon (whatever decision that is) or he's planning on taking a majority stake and bringing in new board members of the next few months.
With respect mate, that avoided the question.....

For me, a match going Evertonian since '77, the writing has been on the wall since the middle of last season. Martinez first season success owed a lot to the previous regime's strong defensive philosophy. Moyes teams were always well drilled and this helped Bobby in his first season.
Evertonians are not stupid. We know if something is fundamentally wrong with the way the team is performing.
The facts are clear. Our home record is appalling. We cannot defend a lead. We are hopeless at set-pieces. We are seeing our lowest league standing for the second season running. This is with a squad that every man and his dog can clearly see are underachieving.
Martinez has a footballing philosophy which takes priority over the end result, win or lose.
This bunch of players are used to eachother so you can't blame needing time to gel. They should be in the mix for top 4, not 12th. Martinez sends those players out unprepared in my opinion. Whether we win depends on how poor the opposing team's attack is on the day. That is unacceptable for Everton and it won't change with him in charge.
Nail, hammer, head.

*doffs cap*

Sorry mate, just had to correct that bit for you.

See, the defenders can only do so much. When there's no protection from the front i.e. pressing we leave ourselves vulnerable. And in turn we put more pressure on ourselves, this is systematic of his approach, more concerned with goals than defending.

Allow your goal to be put under pressure and you will concede. I'm watching athletico at the moment, they chase everything and close and harass; they've conceded 11 goals. See the difference

Oh, I'm absolutely with you there, I think there is much we can learn with regard to pressing higher up the pitch when we don't have the ball. It's just that I get so frustrated at seeing us concede goals from straightforward crosses. I suppose it comes down to who we think is responsible for this enormous weakness - I see it as being the players, but you feel that the manager should be held to account. Whoeber is to blame, though, something's gattos change!

What is your source for this Esk, because I'm finding it very difficult to believe (see above).

I do not have a particular source, I'm commenting on things as they are currently reported.

There must be agreement in strategy from the three for the above structure to work - otherwise we'd have an alternative structure. Hence my comments that Martinez is going nowhere else soon, unless Bill and Jon have changed their minds.

I also commented that I would never hold a minority interest without Board control.

Hostile? I don't agree, if you choose to sell up the majority of your shares to an investor, you wouldn't expect to have control of the board. It is certainly common practice that an investment agreement or shareholders agreement will be in place to govern how decisions are made. I would be very surprised, even in the interim, if Moshiri did not take control of the board.

I reckon you're sauced off your tits Esk and you're displaying your usual humility.

I reckon you've got webcams in the boardroom and the cleaners passing you daily updates of anything that moves on the ground.

I reckon you zoom in on Funes Mori's lash in the showers post game using your HD camera stashed in the soap.

Soz abar the last bit. 2 fie.

Again this is total guesswork, but I thought it was a case of the 3 of them making up the "Boardroom" and making decisions that way, its likely they wont actually vote on anything, Bill and Fazzy will just chat about things.

Pretty much all my match going mates want to see the back to Martinez. It's why even if you don't believe that is the right option you have to consider its validity. It's more than just a noisy minority.
I can see that.
I was lucky to have a season ticket through the 80's but i would be spitting fire at losing nearly every home game i feel for you guys because there is nothing better than going watching everton

Maybe I've missed the reports on the Board being made up of Moshiri, Bill and Woods like. I still recon Moshiri will want to match them at very least, dangerous game letting them have control of the board!
