We replaced our entire midfield and attack when Martinez got here.

Moyes last season we played Fellaini behind Jelavic and in front of Osman and Gibson with Pienaar and Mirallas out wide. And Naismith, Neville and Anichebe were our main cover.

Martinez first season we played Barkley behind Lukaku and in front of Barry and McCarthy with Naismith and Mirallas out wide. And then Pienaar, Osman and Deulofeu were our main cover.

Same back 5 but no one else was the same.
Ah nice one.
So, my point remains.
RM first season he "grows" his own attack based on a secure, in form, experienced back 5.

Then, early on into season two he realises that Distin can't concentrate, Howard can't catch and Coleman/Baines can't keep fit.

To me, it's understandable that ever since we've had a glass jaw.

He stockpiled the money for Lukaku and spent his entire kitty, or at least the vast majority of it on him. I'm sure I said that in my novel earlier?

Yeah I'll take the one about Oumar. Bad signing, even simply from a fitness POV. Think I've said that too.

You may point to his Wigan record but I don't think its a good comparison. It's Wigan for Christ sake. They had Gary Caldwell and Bramble at CB.
Sure he could have made them more solid, would they have won the FA Cup? I very much doubt it.

In Moyes last season, werent we playing Neville and Osman CM? With Fellaini behind the striker? Jelavic or Anichebe up front?
Genuine question- who are these top 7 players he was left with at CM?
Moyes left a very good GK and back 4, a third of which fell off a cliff form wise after a season. Baines and Coleman have struggled for fitness ever since the end of season one under RM.

He sold Fellaini for 27m, bought Lukaku for about the same, that's not stockpiling.
He also spent big on McCarthy.

He'd have to take a monster pay cut - Neil Lennon got an increase going from Celtic to Bolton.

He could take a Championship side on for much more money.

Celtic's such a poor job for a manager trying to build a reputation, too.

Like they win the league and the manager gets no credit because of course they should won the league, they lose it and the manager's a joke.

According to one item in his press chat refers to our cup runs and we have made progress!!!!!!!!! Nothing about our awful league performance or mention of only 4 home wins and that this has been our worst home performance ever!

Thinks he deserves a second chance.

Yeah, people try and say his first season was success with Moyes team but it wasn't. It was his team and he did remarkably well with it.

Just couldn't keep it up, sadly.

No surprise to see us second from bottom in the form guide.

http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/matchday/form-guide.html

Our only win in the last 9 games was against ASTON VILLA in the Premier league. A team that would be near the bottom of the Championship if they actually played in it this season.

Since 13th February 2016
L - Everton 0-1 WBA
W - Aston Villa 1-3 Everton
L - Everton 2-3 West Ham
L -Everton 0-2 Arsenal
L - Man Utd 1-0 Everton
D - Watford 1-1 Everton
D - Crystal Palace 0-0 Everton
D - Everton 1-1 Southampton
L - Liverpool 4-0 Everton

Won 1, Drawn 3, Lost 5, Scored 7, Conceded 14

6 points out of 27.

We have only won 9 games all season, which is lower than everyone except Sunderland and the three clubs in the relegation zone. Bournemouth and Watford have won 11 games.

Were the others from Wigan on a free?

Players bought: Kone 6 million, Joel 2 million, Mcgeady 2.5 million, McCarthy 13 million, barry 2 million, besic 4 million, Galloway 4 million, Luakau 28 million, Tarashaj 3 million, lennon 4.5 million, Deulofeu 4.3 million, Niasse 13.5 million, mori 9.5 million and a combined 1.4 million on various youth teamers. So 107.7 million.
