It's so set up for us to lose Saturday and the go on a losing run, isn't it?
Could go either way, but we'll see I suppose. But then we find ourselves back in this situation pre-semi if we win, but that would mean we'll have won. I don't think a manager has had a seemingly weekly competence review in the manner he has - he is dissected every week. Is that good or bad? If he even read this, perhaps he'd just ignore the negative anyway?

Martinez IN, hope the fence is sharp and pokes holes in your jeans and anus
It's comfy up here.

I really hope we win the cup, but I can already see the "season's over" fume if we lose on Saturday - it'll be hard to argue with that too.

Chelsea are out of the champions league leaving the fa cup their only silverware chance too. Even if we win the fa cup the league will always be our achilees heel. Will he learn and adapt who knows. I just hope that more pressure is put on him from the top.

Yup. I for one would have a hard time not agreeing. And if that happens, do you think he should get another season? Really at a loss at this stage. It really is like being in a dysfunctional relationship where you keep hanging on because you had nice weekend together years ago and you think that you can somehow get back to that.

As I said last night, I think we have to take a more mid term view, rather than long or short term. For me it depends if he can retain Lukaku et al - if he can, perhaps let's see how he ads to the squad in the summer an see how we go until around November. If those players look like leaving, then I'd bring in someone to re-turn their heads back in our direction.

Keeping our young talent is the immediate concern for me, because I think with a few top notch summer additions we'll be good.

I personally think we'll win on Saturday. The so called fume is mainly down to our league position. When you get repeatedly told this is the best squad since the 80's it's kinda of understandable that people look at 12th and then say to themselves, it's not raining but someone's pissing on my foot. I dunno I think people wake up to that.

See, they are entitled to their opinion fella.

I don't have a problem with different opinions - the problem is the unfriendly nature they're sometimes put across with (from both anti and pro).

Course they are mate, I'm only jesting.

But seriously, think about it, that's all I ask! Ha!

I'd like to see him preserve with 3-4-2-1 this weekend, thought we looked good at the weekend pre- Kev red.

Good football IN...I've never supported a manager per'se, it's more about if I think what they're doing is what's needed in the larger scheme of things. The outcome of it all is up to innumerable factors that are just as much out of their control as in. I backed Moyes when people wanted his head because I could see he was pushing the reset button and getting back to basics but, in the end, he never got out of the basics and a good squad was left to tread water without ever really expanding itself. Now we're trying to expand our football and dealing with whatever demons that brings up along the way but it needed to happen. Where it ends up, who knows; this is only the beginning.

It's amusing to watch people running for something that has no real end, though. Just don't expect me to stop for you if you've collapsed from an aneurysm...I'll probably just laugh as I hurdle your corpse. Sorry 'bout that but there's a sick sense of humour that is gained from the loneliness of the long distance supporter.

It's a sorry state of affairs when it gets to a situation where a large portion of the fanbase wants him sacked if we get beat Saturday.

Problem is, a lot of the issues he's brought upon himself. I'm hopeful we win and get to wembley and it helps us to restore some kind of form in the league but if we do lose, I'm of the opinion he should be relinquished of his duties because in reality the season has ended for us and it perhaps gives someone a chance to come in before the summer.

At the very least will give the board time to decide who they want and bring an interim manager in to tide things over.

I can't say I personally agree with 90% of people's arguments to want to keep him, but I do understand everyone has different opinions on the matter which makes the forum a lot more engaging and entertaining.

The day where we all agree together will be the day we lift the title again ;)
