I already replied with my reasoning earlier on in the thread and people agreed with me. That's the thing about opinions some people agree, some don't.

If I'm so full of it and wrong then use this as a measure... I'll use last season as a point of reference as we know the final finishing positions, so... last season how many of the players from our squad that Martinez has signed, that you class as "good" and not "average" league players would have made it into the teams starting 11 who finished in the top 4? Really think about it... especially when you base it on current form or even form of last season... none of them would get a sniff!

I support our players on the pitch when I'm at Goodison or at home watching on the telly and if they play for the club and the fans and they work their ass off for the club and the fans then they have my support fully through good and bad form but you have to be realistic here... I'm being critical of Martinez signings from what I see on the pitch. Not saying my word is gospel, it's my opinion, some people on here agree with it, others don't. Barry, Lennon, McCarthy, Cleverly, Galloway etc would be lucky getting a start in any of last seasons top 4 squads if even selected at all over the players currently there, therefore theyre "average" borderline "good", I'd go as far as saying they'd be hard pushed getting into some mid table sides starting 11 tbf...

tl;dr lad

It doesn't matter who the next manager is, Dave will have the knives out

We could bring Jock Stein back to life and it wouldn't be good enough
Top class manager. If a truly top class manager is brought in Ill be impressed. Then I'll see if they perform in the first season as well as Martinez did in his. If not then I'd withdraw any support for them.

Tbh, I'd have no dog in that fight. They wouldn't be my choice of manager anyway. But anyone advocating managerial change right now should back whomever comes in after Martinez and continue to back them to the hilt otherwise they are inconsistent and fickle....and I'll remind them of that at every turn.

Next manager spending more money than Martinez has to secure CL football straight away or they are failing. Simple as that.

I agree.

The next manager should be given the 3 years Martinez was given, if in those 3 years he finishes in the bottom half twice he should be sacked without delay.

I think that possibly nobody has told you yet that it doesn't matter what a few posters on a website vote for, the decision to sack or keep the manager will be made by the board of directors and within that board the two pivotal people are Moshiri and Kenwright.
Hoping you are wrong on Kenright, truly hope Moshiri has seen through him

Bizarre. Most people just want what's right for Everton not to be seen to be right or not fickle. Next manager gets a clean slate then depending on what he does or doesn't do he'll be judged accordingly.

Are you for real? Your calling a new manager a failure if we don't get top 4 straight away when other teams will be as strong or stronger?

But yet you say Martinez and our season now has been ok ? Ha ha ha ha ok Dave ok your seriously taking the pee on here I'm now sure of that.

No mate, cos your utter spanish fraud wont fall on his sword.

Shameless he is, utterly shameless, I wouldnt show my face in public if I had done a bad of job as he has.
72 points record breaking season (guess what the new manager will get if one comes in- yes, that's right, nowhere near that total)

Two semi finals in one season.

More goals scored in open play since HKI.

Added about £150M value to the squad since taking over Moyes' Dads Army squad.

Took everton from the hoofball Middle Ages to modernity.

......not bad for a fraud.

Let's see what the "top class" manager successor does with ten times more cash. I have a very strong feeling we'll look back on martinez's three seasons in charge as a period when we had a huge chance to back him and his style of play and push on.

Well actually yes I was quite aware of that, well done for missing my point spectacularly

Its actually not possible for whoever comes in next to do a worse job.

We could appoint Stevie Wonder and he would do a vastly better job.
