You don't think there are heightened expectations? Each to their own but I beg to differ.
The managers aspirations are being used as a stick 2 years early.

blindly defending a manager who you wont even get off your a**e to watch, never mind part with real money to watch his dour teams is more shocking, walking out of anfield the other week was an experience Dave should have to go through then he wouldn't defend him so readily
 
From the point of view of the club, rowdy demonstrations at the ground are more likely to give pause for thought than is a muttered "ffs" in front of a laptop. To that extent, supporters actually at the match are "players".

In my opinion.

And you'd be right, but for a plethora of reasons not everyone can go the game.

The only entitlement sought around here is a certain person's, who thinks that because Martinez hit 72 points in his first season he is entitled to remain in the job!
This is the same Martinez who has spent £100m, nearly £50m of which is on strikers - two of who the jury remains out big time, the other of who now wants out!
The man who supposedly gives youth a chance, whilst the average age of the squad has gone from 25.5 when he arrived to 26.8 now.
We have the worst home record in a history of 138 years.
Have won five games at home this season.
The "great" away record is a fallacy
Haven't won back to back home games in over twelve months.
On course for back to back finishes for the first time since the days of Walter Smith.
In three seasons his win % has gone from 55% to 32% and is currently 26%.
I could go on and on........
The same poster who constantly berates us with "Aaaaah but 72 points" claims to wonder why Roberto is getting the sack! Why's he getting the sack - because with a record like his he is flippin' well entitled to the sack!!!!

We need a massive summer spending spree over £100 million with a new manager, or if he has to stay because of the new board and kenwright whispering in his ear, maybe sell/get rid of a few players lots of ppl on here mentioned mirallas, stones and lukaku, if they decide to go or if we can get bigger money for them, somehow I do not think we will do.

Not many will take notice tho David.

The vast majority of people gave Martinez almost 3 years, im a fair man, the next Manager will get the same from me.
