So your pretty much where I am, apart from the fact that im not quite willing to say 100% sack him in the Summer, im probably around 45% sack 55% keep, as said, im on a game to game basis, that shifts by 5% every game, when he reaches 60%, the trigger gets pulled.

Im not convinced that Bill will WANT to keep him past the summer if things dont improve drastically either, hes cost the club a VAST sum of money with these bottom half finishes, roughly, comparing 6th to 11th for 2 season, its not shy of 50m, coupled with the "vast" transfer kitty he was given, just saying.

Was me a while back.

Ultimately, it's misplaced loyalty IMO.

What's on Bobby's CV that shows he's capable of taking Everton to a top 4 place?

I mean, compare him with Tony Pullis...

Martinez’s tally now stands at played 254, won 70, drawn 74 and lost 101 while Pulis is played 272, won 87, drawn 79 and lost 106.

This equates at Martinez: won 31%, drawn 29% and lost 40% with an average of 1.22 points per game; Pulis: won 32%, drawn 29% and lost 39% with an average of 1.25 points per game.

The last sentence is bang on.

BK won't be telling moshiri to sack Roberto.

BK will want the best for Everton and if Moshiri thinks we can do better than Martinez then I think Bill will trust him on it. I haven't got a clue of course, but just my feeling on it.

If the league form stays around the same and we don't win the cup I do think we'll get a new manager in the summer.

Yes...meek surrender...knife to a gun fight...far too often. Love how it winds you up so much anytime criticism over Moyes comes up. 11 years...never won anything...in reality could have stayed here 11 more and would still be empty handed. He is not built to win...only be safe.

SMFH @ how you pile on Martinez after 3 years when in 11 years Moyes did F all.

What's Martinez done? Unless he wins the cup this year it's 3 seasons of nothing. Moyes had got top 4 at this point with a far far far worse squad. You're just accusing me of what you're guilty of yourself. I rate Moyes, always have, always will, there are lots of legitimate criticisms to make about him but people find the need to not even give him 1% credit for what most blues see as a very good job. The same people also seem unable to attribute 1% of criticism to Martinez.

The reason I dislike Martinez is not because of my like of Moyes, it's because most of the stats point to him doing one of the worst jobs in prem history. I feel though that yourself and others latched onto Martinez as the anti Moyes and now will accept no praise of Moyes and no criticism of Martinez. It's a complete polarisation that is not balanced at all. One is a dinosaur, one is playing football touched by the gods. Sadly every stat paints a different picture.

Well I did have all these fears prior to him taking over, but im not gonna pretend he didnt get me 100% onboard in his first season, as im sure we all did, but its as if hes been replaced by his twin brother the last 2 seasons, gone are the clever subs, the attacking tactics and the solid defense base, all replaced by Halloways Blackpool.

That first season and his quite amazing squad building have given him a nice little fund in "the bank", hes currently dipping into his overdraft for me.

Aye, I can see that too.
BK is ultra loyal, and I'd expect him to want Martinez to at least have a crack at it with some new money ?

But, like you say.. No one knows what the new owner is like or what his footy knowledge is.
I'd love it if he was a proper FIFA / FM fiend and just went out and played his own fantasy team.

I would, if it was my dosh.

In Bobby's own words, it could kickstart our season.

Kickstart our season, in March.

March.

I dont think that has much bearing on attitudes if we reach Wembley.

If we go further in this cup and keep the New Year form up - where we've only lost 4 times in 14 games - then it's easily enough to settle things down.

Next season: start with a new keeper and strengthen that defence further and we're in business. There's not an awful lot wrong here. the football can be superb and we're scoring bucket loads.

Oh, and here is some optimism.

We beat the worst Chelsea side in a very long time at Goodison and here is the pot;

Reading, Crystal Palace, Arsenal, Man Utd, Watford, West Ham

Unless we met Arsenal on their day, we should win it.

We're better than the rest.

But it's not a crap Chelsea side at all, is it? They had a shocking first half of the season because John Terry led a dressing room revolt against Mourinho to get him sacked, that aside its the same squad that walked the title last season. The Chelsea that turns up on Saturday will be far different from the one we played in September

Not that different to the one we we're robbed of three points at their place though a few weeks back.

This, in response to me saying the worst Chelsea side in a very long time?

All that considered, they're still, the worst Chelsea side in a long time.

We're at home. We desperately need the result. Let's go and win this one...

I have always said that he was the right man for the job at the time...wore out his welcome about 3 seasons before he left. He is not a winner...was never going to win us anything.

Martinez has proven that he can win something.

It is almost getting to the point though with our impatient fan base that the sack is inevitable. If we don't win the cup he will need to go simply because our entitled fans won't have the patience and will continue to create even a more hostile environment which will bread more poor results.
