No, it's understandable the fans were supportive, given it was a quarter-final against the former/defending league champions, and the team was set up to MATCH them, at the very least.

What they don't appreciate is the side not having much of an idea against the likes of watford, norwich, palace etc at home, and being blamed for the player's & manager's shortcomings by saying so.

The fans at home haven't been blamed for RM's shortcomings, the only thing posters on here have accused them of is not always getting behind the team in some games where it might have helped lift the players.

I've never seen a poster claim the sole reason we lose at home is due to poor support, which is what you're implying.

Hello lads I'm back from my ASBO ban in this thread and was wondering where 80% of the regular posters on here have gone?

Can they please let us know that they're OK before I tag them in to check on their wellbeing.

Everton won an important game lads, this thread isn't off limits to you in such circumstances.
Sometimes mate its better to enjoy the result rather than analyse the performance.

Personally still stick by my opinion

How long do you head in the right direction for exactly? Unfortunately you are living in cloud cuckoo land if you think Martinez will, change his approach and we will suddenly be as good in defence as we are in attack. I honestly believe it is only the quality of our players that has prevented us from being in a dogfight with this charlatan's tactics or lack of them. TAXI!
How much is a taxi to Wembley?

You paying mate?

What a night, what an atmosphere, i'm sure a fan flew over my head when we scored the first and how great was it to hear the whole stadium singing "we're on the march with Bobby's army"
Well done Bobby now lead us on to our first trophy in over 20 years, COYB.

I tried to start a golden oldie fro the '77 cup runs......I waved my scarf around singing "Everton are magic, Everton are magic".

It was one of those embarrassing moments when no bugger joined in and my very own grandson whom I had fetched the game with me tried to distance himself

I am of the opinion Martinez is not a good enough manager for Everton. I posted congratulations to Martinez for winning yesterday's game.
I accept that luck plays a part in football, I accept that if Costa' s effort had gone in it would have been a different game but I thought from the way we played we could have come back from that goal. Lukaku did take matters into his own hands and score a wonder goal, because up to that point he wasn't't getting much service.
What yesterday showed was that we can compete with good teams and beat them. We have had good games this season where it looked like we had turned a corner only to go backwards again. We need this to be a lesson learned and go out a compete at every position. I don't think Martinez has shown enough to keep him in a job for next season, even if he wins the cup, but I would love to see him putting up a fight, take responsibility for what goes wrong and then you can accept the plaudits for things going right. Let us see a cup win and climb up this bloody league table.

Some of you still have cajones. Well on for sticking to your guns orl.

@ianefc @AJC5 @Saint Domingo has the Goodison cat got your tongue?

Sorry mate, I was out enjoying Everton winning, just woke up now after a boss night. I guess o should have been on here though arguing about being 'right' or not. You know my position, the last 20 months are nowhere near good enough, if he can get it right between now and the season end (a cup win is very very right) then he has earned some more time. If he can't and we finish outside the European places and with no trophy then I would hope Moshiri considers a change of manager. One game good or bad doesn't change that for me.

One thing I would point out is that anyone blaming Lukaku for our previous underperformance due to his missed chances should be singing his praises today.

still buzzing today.

I hope he gets it right because christ its good matching and being better than teams supposedly better than us after a long time just hoping for draws or snatched wins. We take the game to everyone and it should always be like that.

Obviously there´s all the stuff where we shoot ourselves in the foot on a regular basis, but because of the attitude above I´m still fully behind him and hoping he makes it work

COYB!
