Eh? He had the CHANCE given to him and only sacked him when he had us dancing on the trapdoor again in March that following season. Lol. Mate, whatever point you thought you wee making in that original cut and paste job it hasn't worked out. I'd disown it now if I were you.

...and then the insults are trundled out because you have your 'point' rebuffed.

Why cant people just deal in the evidence?

Here that evidence is, btw (this is me "putting one man above the club"):

  • He's assembled a great group of young players who can play with breathtaking attacking intent
  • For the season as a whole we've competed well, more especially away from home in the PL and in the cups
  • We are in absolutely no danger of anything other than picking up a shiny cup
  • As much as anyone can tell the manager is supported by the man running the club
Again, I'm sorry if these points are inconvenient, but they just happen to be about the only meaningful way of assessing the issue.

Maybe you want me to just STFU and join your lynch mob?

No answer to if you think Bill Kenwright tells the truth or is someone who has consistantly lied then i see Dave?

Insults - i said you sound silly mate and petulant - pretty sure your skin is thicker than the fake outrage and hurt you express ^^

Article i copy/pasted shows that a rigning endorsement is relatively meaningless - your own blue bill gave one and sacked the manager the same season, now he isn't even the one calling the major decisions so what he says has even less wiegth to it - can always hide behind the fact it wasn't his decision so can luvvy it up all he wants can't he?

as for your points
1. only 2 of whom are actually starting - 2 others have been banished to the bench and one to the under 21s, the ones whove fallen out of favour have been due to 1 being a dfeneder he has regressed and another who is a wigner he dropped because defensively we are a shambles, 2 of the best 3 young players want to leave the club - so yeah martinez has been stellar mate
2. No we haven't competed well mate, no team that has won 4 and lost 8 games at home can be considered to have competed well in any universe, competing int he cup doesnt matter - winning it does, teams roll up to Goodison expecting 3 point now - that's his big achievement
3. so we are now effectively a team that should strive for 38/40 points and safety so we can focus on the cups, nice to see that ambition mate
4. The man who used to run the club and has now sold it

Like last season you mean?

I spent a large chunk of last season fearing we'd go down

However, I said during it that so long as we didn't go down, I'd give him till Christmas this season

Low and behold, he kept us up and by Christmas we'd had a mini revival in the League and were still in the League Cup, so I decided to still be "Martinez In"

Now he's got us to Wembley, I think he's earned the right to stay for the remainder of the season

After that?

I have a checklist of
Top keeper
LM
Defensive Coach

How he does with that list by the end of summer will decide whether I'm In or Out

Hopefully gone next season. The players have a lot to answer for but in the main, Roberto Martinez is a terrible manager. He set the team up to go toe to toe (or eye to eye has he says) with Arsenal and we're not good enough to play that style of football. Brings a defender on at half time instead of playing Niasse up front with Lukaku, who was completely isolated and looked fed up because of it.
We have players who we were lauding 2 seasons ago but are regressing week to week.
He gives an interview after the game and says 'today was a one off.' Yesterday was one of many awful results over the last 20 months. He's absolutely clueless!
He's out of his depth and regardless of if we win the cup (and that's a big if) I hope Moshiri does the right thing and let's him go because it's going to be the same story next season.

I struggle to understand if the above is a joke wind up or not?

1 The season as a whole has been terrible as evidenced by our position in the table
2 Danger should not come into it with the talent pool at his disposal, we were a lukaku injury away from being in a relegation scrap
3 Agreed he has assembled a great bunch of players and he should be rewarded with a role as head scout, the intent is indeed there but they cant win! Because they cant defend a lead or close down a game
4 Agreed the support for him is there at the moment but it will change and change quickly

no lynch mob just facts, he is not equipped to take our great club forward. Even Stelling and Thompson are mocking his guff spouted after every game

When?

In that period, we only beat the three worst teams in the league in Villa, Newcastle and Sunderland. We didn't win a league game in the month before Christmas.

11th last season and sth like 12th are not enough to boot him out?Not to mention a winning rate of 31% since Aug 2014.

Lawrence will only be gone the day when Martinez is sacked.
