I've just said its from Facebook. If anybody's on crack it's certainly not me.....would explain your bizzare man love for our inferior manager
257 league game though mate...you posted it. Lol.

I think what it demonstrates nicely though is the hysterical exaggeration of anything about Martinez. It's not fuelled by logical critique, it's just some frenzied indiscriminate attack.

I've got to smile at the way that when someone presents you evidence you asked for, you then shift the goal post of the original discussion. This is a trait common to fundamentalists, zealots... and cultists

Requesting all the information relevant before making an informed decision isn't being a zealot nor is it "moving the goalposts". It's the only way debate can occur.

We aren't at war here captain, no matter how melodramatic you seem to make things.

So you subscribe to the view that Moyes left his defence behind (all apart from Distin still here, btw in this 'failing' defence) and that Martinez left it as it was and reaped the benefits, rather than rip up the play book at the back and encourage those players to play in a fundamentally different manner: playing it out and carrying it forward? It's funny, but IIRC almost everyone at the time recognised that the defence was playing in a vastly different manner than it had previously.

I just laugh mow when I read the re-writing of history over this defence issue. "It was Moyes' defensive wall that provided the basis". You couldn't make this stuff up.

There is an absolute torrent of trash being claimed about and against Martinez right now. It's amusing that it mostly goes awol after a decent win like.

nevermind. The hysteria will fade again soon and we'll be back to where we were.

No Dave, and I never said that. I remember clearly the "new style" in Martinez' early games particularly at Goodison which caused some consternation because of the slow nature of building an attack.

What was left behind was a greater cohesiveness, and dare I say it, a stronger mentality.

I stand by my "inconvenient truth" Martinez does not possess all the skills required to create a top 4 side. If he did, then this season of all seasons would have been the ideal opportunity to use those skills and be up alongside Leicester, Spurs and West Ham. Instead we are languishing in mid-table wondering what should have been.

The fans anger against the manager is not fuelled by logic?

12th in the table, level on points with Bournemouth, 8 home defeats in the league this season and its not over yet. All of this after limping to 12th last season.

If there is anyone on this forum who constantly posts without any logic it is you and has been for the past 18 months.

But mate it's not a vendetta it's based on his actual managerial skills. Which seem to be as good as a chocolate fire guard

By that theory villa fans shouldn't have anything to say about garde then if they win a game every now and again. If you don't back the manager then why would anyone be praising him just because we win? I will give the man credit for it sure but it won't change my mind. Here is the thing though mate, if we had beaten west ham, he would have came away looking like a manager who knew how to do well. Besting a west ham team with one less player would have been brilliant, instead he ballsed it up yet again and for all our phenomenal play, we got 0 points.

And in all honesty, correct me if I'm wrong but take lukaku out of this team , half his goal tally for the year (is that 9 goals?) and include the fact that Sunderland villa and Newcastle have been awful for 2 years, we would already be fighting relegation under him. Last year when we were 14th we had the three relegated teams below us and those three. Come march 2016, if we lose to united, Bournemouth draw , Watford draw and Swansea win, we are only two places above the same awful teams from last year. And one of those were promoted!
I dont ask for a change of mind. My minds not turning until such a point as this manager is given the cash to fix defensive problems out and sorts that in the same way as he sorted a pop gu attack out last summer.

Just even handedness after wins and losses...in fact. you just gave me an idea....

I'm beginning to look on Martinez as a bit of a fling on holiday when you've not had your end away for beards.

You're well chuffed if you get your end away / win a cup , swop email addresses and promise to keep in touch, but then go away and sort your life out properly with someone who can do more than give you a fleeting moment of pleasure.

I may have said too much

Gosh, EL Bob sure has a lot to answer for
