I'm up for giving him until around October of next season. His signings have been decent and he wants to play football the right way, our home form has been absolutely woeful I know but I do think he can still turn it around. I think the problem now may be he's lost a big % of the fans, as soon as that happens it's very rarely repairable.

One things for certain though, with significant investment comes expectations, how he finishes this season will imo determine if he's still in charge for August.

He could be an FA CUP winner with us yet.

Martinez's first season wasn't good though, as the super dooper league doesn't matter. In the important competitions, he only got to the 3rd and 6th rounds. He had an even worse season last year - not because we finished 11th, because of course the league doesn't matter, but because we went out in the 3rd round of each magnificent cup.

He's having a cracking season this year though.
...so progression then.

Actually, going to say it.

Due to academic commitments, I've been unable to attend Goodison Park as much as I'd like.

On the rare occasion I make the 240 mile trip to the Stadium, I'm shocked at how bad the home support is. Used to be that we'd get on top of the opposition, now we're too busy screaming at our own and posting dank memes on Twitter about how jarg it is to be a Everton supporter.

The support at Goodison Park is crap.

Neg me, but you know it's true.

Huge amounts of frustration around at present mate. Born by witnessing our best squad in a generation are not doing it on the pitch whilst other teams with seemingly lesser players and reputations fight it out for the Premier League and CL spots.

Totally understandable, at Goodison, here and other social media platforms.

Perhaps Doug, but this won't save him, he should get the players together to clear the air/work out a strategy imo. Throwing his own squad under the Bus, and threatening those who may have got us so far in the cup, possibly despite him and his coaches, may result in a complete collapse and his sacking before Wembley.
For about the first time, RM has come out and lambasted the players for their inept performance vs. Arsenal, saying under-performing players not showing the correct desire etc will not make the semi-final team. I wonder if for the first time, RM himself has been has been hauled in by the powers that be at Everton and warned in no uncertain terms that his neck is on the line if things don't improve.

Totally agree and it smacks of desperation from someone completely unable to see his own failings and could well endanger the fragile relationship (I would assume) he has with his players at the moment.

I genuinely believe there's been a slowburn in relation to the support at GP, for the most I think we're a patient bunch TBH...I think it's at the point of build up & over-spill now we're faced with the games remaining, it's realisation time innits. And If you think it's toxic at the moment then I'd jib the next few if I were you...
