Oh hello!

Have a read...after the third draw in a row.

Nobody is blaming the crowd btw...I made that very clear last night. They are currently contributing to the problem at home though.

Not sure what your point is now? You don't like some Everton fans? Neither do I but that is completely different from the whole crowd harbouring doubts about the manager. He has brought that on himself. It didn't affect the team v Chelsea or City because they actually showed up. The fans weren't a problem when we were 2 up v West Ham, that was a great atmosphere. Then the team threw it away.

We've never been a happy clapping bunch. We're not Palace or Stoke, which with the greatest respect to their great fans I find a bit of a senseless atmosphere but that fits the tradition and culture of their team and fan base. In some ways Liverpool are a bit like that as well, emotional, unrealistic, blindly optimistic at times. Evertonians have always been more reserved, more critical (in an analytical way), slower to dole out praise for no reason. Like the song goes we know our history and we know our football. This is the same crowd that threw cushions. They've seen some of the best of all time so won't go overboard for average dross. We've also shown though that we'll back managers and players far longer than we should if they and show even an ounce of effort to get things going in the right direction. Limited players who would be hounded out in other clubs made incredible careers here because we created the environment for them to play and they went above and beyond for Everton. A two way street that they never forgot and still talk about now.

This team is all take take take. Never one word of contrition or self acceptance from the manager, a keeper and 20 year old centreback mouthing off to the fans. To top it off the worst Goodison league campaign of all time from a group of players more talented than any in our prem history. What message does that send to the crowd?

This team doesn't deserve anyone turning up to watch it it is so poor, lazy, and embarassing. The fact we still sell out home and away tells you everything you need to know about our 'rubbish' fans.

If rather we persist with our attractive style and add quality with the aim of long term trophies and success than doing a Leicester and playing 11 behind the ball with an Olympic sprinter up top.

I think he was given a chance by most. He got relegated and we gave him a chance, I think that is both reasonable and fair.

Reality is he has failed, we play like Wigan, scarily so with the talent that we have suggests the manager can`t get the players to perform to the best of their ability on a regular basis.

End of the day their is a stench around Martinez, Pienarrs comments today wont help, they raise other questions about his man management skills or lack of. These things usually end one way and I hope its brought to a swift conclusion by Moshiri showing intent and much needed ambition.

Different times. Moyes kept us up and steadied the ship. New investment and Martinez is quite righrly getting pressure from fans. The home performances are dire and i certainly dont look foward to the games as i dont know which team will turn up. You cant expect fans to continue accepting the football we are getting. How else would you expect them to react?

He shouldn't have been getting pressure after three games in charge though. Nor should he have after his 1st rough patch last season.

I would expect them to react by trying to help the lads on the pitch...not tear them down and help ruin their confidence.

Of course there might be a few, there are at every club, but influencing a 38k crowd at Goodison? No chance. Martinez cannot blame the crowd for what has happened the last 2 years. The blame is his.
Without clicking Hit ignored content I can guess who you're talking to. Still blaming the fans for not wanting Martinez in the first place or for not giving him enough of a chance?? Incredible. I didn't want him as I was convinced he wasn't going to be good enough. Does that mean I wanted to fail to be proved right? NOT. A. CHANCE. I want us to win as many games possible. I get annoyed when we don't win ore-season friendlies FFS. I can't stand that Martinez has gotten more out of this squad he's done brilliantly to assemble. How have one of the best strikers in the league, performing to such high standards yet we are 12th??? How can anyone support that manager, to me it's gotten to the point that anyone supporting Martinez is doing so over supporting Everton. NEA. But to criticise match going fans more than criticising said manager is utterly disgraceful and I'm not sure why anyone would pay any attention to him.

Let me remind you of some of the support our great club has received from our great fans.

2 of the first videos that pop up in a basic YouTube search. Both from within last 8-10 years. So the law of averages would suggest the majority still attend Goodison on the regular. Have they just turned into 'crap fans' for no reason? No. I'm proud of our fans for wanting more and I'm proud of our club but I couldn't give a toss about Martinez and the less than adequate job he is doing.

Just remember if @ilikecheese put as much expectation on Martinez as he did our brilliant fans he wouldnt feel so comfortable slagging our fans off at any opportunity yet barely saying anything about martinez.

Rant over.

LOL

Are you really criticising a team for finding tactics that win a title rather than passing it around like extras from The Walking Dead and getting beat every other week? In the hope of some long term aim to get back to where we were? Which for the record, wasnt freaking 12th.

LOLOLOLOLOL

I'm telling you this: we've gone from a club that was not successful to a club still unsuccessful.

You can mix the ingredients up and serve it whatever way you want, but it's still muck.

Get a trophy on the table and that's palatable.
So you are admitting you're talking out of your arse with this deflection (again)?

I'm okay with that.

The glass ceiling we bemoaned isn't really be a problem when we're sitting in 12th.

We've slipped away from consistently banging on the ceiling.

We couldn't reach it with a ladder now
We couldn't reach it with a ladder now...only if we won our two games in hand over 7th place Southampton we'd be 3 points off the 7th placed we cracked our heads on.

Buying a ticket and supporting the team are two entirely different things. Wish they'd show up like they did in the Cup vs Chelsea every week. That was a helpful environment.

The system they are asked to play does that. I doubt that many have confidence in the way they are asked to play

I think Robertos quotes to the media about players shaping up or shipping out to be the sort of stuff that can lose the dressing room. The players are playing to the tactics that he has set the team up to use and deploy. It seems like the manager is throwing all the blame onto the players for our mediocre league form. What he should be saying is that both the players and myself have to look at ourselves here and improve.

Agree, he's not doing himself any favours by seeming to put it all on the players, and as you say, if he's going to be critical, then he should be including himself in that criticism, especially with our poor home form.

I realise it is futile to compare different sports, but even the best, most free scoring rugby teams can defend like beasts. We, as a team, dont appear to be able to. After 3 seasons, and with international football players.
Look at the likes of many a Manure team under Ferguson: they attacked with the best of them but equally they were built with a solid defence.

That's why creating a balanced team is so important, whereby we can score enough goals to win while being solid enough to retain our lead.
