That was when all those currently attacking him and demanding his head were calling him Bobby Brown Shoes.

*YOU know who you are*
You're quite right, I have little time for the fickle, but that photo was erected 20+ months ago, plenty of times for people to have a reasonable change of heart/mind. It's the ones who voted out after WHU In After CFC and out after AFC that I struggle to take seriously. But that works both ways.

Unreal, not t mention arrogant. The FA Cup - we haven't been good enough to win that for a generation. That's the truth of the matter. And now we stand a coupe of games from doing it. Well I for one am greatly arsed about securing it and would see it as a massive achievement and a monkey off our backs....but that cant be allowed because it'd give the manager fresh impetus.

I would love us to win the cup. I would love it even more if Roberto does get fresh impetus. And I would love it if he learns, listens, adapts, and shows us the undoubted talent he has.

And no Dave, not by inheriting a good defensive unit. But by proving many of us wrong that he has the humility to accept that a team must defend. First and foremost. And to build that himself.

I do not think that is unreasonable.

I just have my doubts he can, or will.

Nah you're wrong here mate. I'm entirely juxtaposed to David on all things Martinez but this is not called for at all.

What's wrong with having well-argued opinions? I've seen 'build a side around Cleverley' and 'would rather not win the title than play like Leicester' - which are mental substanceless arguments (maybe too much recreational substance) but at least Dave gives you the reasons for his thoughts.

Clueless is not a word I'd choose to describe a man who saw the Kopites imploding long before the rest of us in that Crystanbul season

They're muck. Anyone saying they'd want that brand of 'football' year in year out are lying. It's mind numbing.

They're playing to their strengths and outwitting teams that have far more money than them. Wether you appreciate the style of football or not you can't help but respect them for achieving everything RM hasn't for the last 2 seasons.

A couple of good cup runs can't and shouldn't let people ignore poor form over 38 games in the 'primary' competition the club plays in.

He has failed to reach them heights again.

Dave, you cant seriously be telling me that you're surprised that fans are having a go at a manager who is currently on to achieve a record breaking worst home record in Everton's history and the second worst in Europe, can you?
...in a season where away from has been very good, general levels of performance much better than last season, and a Wembley visit has been secured (and possibly much more)? yes. I expect realism and understanding that things are going ok as well as badly.

What i dont expect is some almighty forum Geordie Fumageddon.

"Ahhh, the Catalan hasn't got me a CL spot....ahhhh, it's not fair....ahhh, he hasn't won the cup yet....not that I want to win it because it's rubbish...but he should have won it by now anyway even though its only March, that;s no excuse....ahhhhh!!!!....sack him Kenwright....I want Moshiri to sack him too....ahhhh....sack him twice...ahhhh!!!!"

How about showing a bit of loyalty and humility?

Kin divas.
