He was after Stones when at Wigan, so there's no excuse there. Stones has played often enough, now

He persevered with Howard for far too long. He knew what Robles was about but chose to stick with someone who was obviously costing us games.

He inherited one of the meanest defences in the land, rid us of the weakest link, and added a £9m player to it. £9m was an awful lot, and still is - despite mosher's £millions.

£9mil for a CB isnt much thesedays...James Chester went for about that and Dann was rated at £20mil odd.

Its clear to me that Mori is still adapting also...Galloway developing. Jagielka cant play this system / style and Baines / Coleman roles are changed which they arent coping well with.

Thats the thing though, hes stuck with the GK and Defence and only replaced Distin with Mori so far.

He should be given the opportunity to improve this and the GK areas...then we can see for ourselves.

Mori and Stones arent the finished articles either so need patience....

His best finish ever in his managerial career came with those players. Go figure, he's made the defensive unit worse because they get no support.

I wish Evertonians acceded to evidence presented them.

Roberto Martinez is a sham.

Instead, too many hang onto the coat-tails of the 'twice right a day' broken clock that the strangely avatared citrus headed da-Vek presents them

I nowaday read little of his WUM stompings

da-Vek's painted himself into an unabashedly parochial, kopite-like 'I'm right... you're wrong' corner and in incendiary fury, stamps his furious feet at any argument that dares threaten his regard...

...he's the Rumpelstiltskin of GOT

I lend da-Vek zero currency

Outside of the dyed in the wool cultists herein this forum, I suggest others exercise similar bureau de change

That's how I pronounced his name. Till I met @Prevenger17 before and he pronounced It was Dave-k and it blew my mind. I remember there was confusion over me thinking it was a WUM account.

Dearie me. Another way to prove my points...

The squad is no where near a top 4 squad. Not by a long shot!!
You need to put a bit more meat on the bones of that.

If we say that as we stand from Southampton up that all teams included in that segment of the league are current top 4 contenders, in terms of potential total points tally and the likelihood of what it will take to achieve 4th. My question would be which of those teams have a better squad (that's not me saying they don't) but interested to know exactly your thoughts on why their squads are within striking range of top 4 and we are not close by 'a long shot'

In your opinion. I've also not said that people expected the top 4. At the start of the season I expected this squad to be 7th as a minimum but at least challenge the top 4. That is not unreasonable when you see what West Ham Spurs and Leicester have done. We are currently nowhere near even being in a conversation about it.

We arent building a side to hit 5-7th and occasionally get close to 4th..were building a side to consistently reach 4th.

If Leicester are going to win the league then not winning the league is underachievement.

At the start of the season if I asked you how many Leicester players would you take for our squad there wouldn't of been more than a couple at most

I think you can't look at Wigan. He was forced to sell his best players.

Think you can over the years he was there. Not in terms of comparing them to us, but in terms of a worrying trend league/style wise, with an occasional foray into the cups.

I like the bloke, and wish he could fix what he has actually done now and again. But I just cant dismiss the trend over, what, 8 seasons or there about.

Based on what?

our transfer expenditure ?
our wage bill?
our young developing players?
the lack of a top defence and keeper?

Were a 8th at best team. The squad lower.
