Zat, do you not look at his work at Wigan and Everton, and see a worrying picture emerge?
The chart below shows the number of goals conceded per game, what is the next number in the sequence?

Season 2011/12 = 1.05
Season 2012/13 = 1.05
Season 2013/14 = 1.03
Season 2014/15 = 1.32
Season 2015/16 = 1.45
Season 2016/17 = ?.??

Based on what?

our transfer expenditure ?
our wage bill?
our young developing players?
the lack of a top defence and keeper?

Were a 8th at best team. The squad lower.

The quality of the players we have in the squad. You can find a reason to write off nearly all of them. I think we have very good players massively underachieving.

What really grinds my gears is knowing wee smelling subhumans like Mark Hughes, Sam Allerdyce and Pullis are rubbing thier manky tobacco stained hands together and fraughting at the mouth anticipating a soft Everton fixture against relegation Bobby.

Ye can tell they genuinely belive they are more tactically astute than him. They don't care if he's managing Wigan or Everton. And that sickings me.

I know, I know here comes another Moyes comparison. But I'd imagine them same managers felt a pit in thier stomach and thier work cut out showing up at fortress Goodison, way back when.

Gets better players and makes his defensive record worse? Not the sign of a top manager.

He joined wigan and had to cost cut 25% when other sides were increasing their budgets. Amazed he kept them up so long to be honest.

Pretty good going and started the swansea emergence which has served them well LONG TERM.

He also won the FA cup and destroyed us on the way to it as well. With very limited resources.

Hes come in, seen our midfield and attack were rubbish and rebuilt. We now have one of the best attacks in the league. Next is the defence and Mori/Galloway look great for the money and im looking forward to him replacing the rest with his own players.

We dont need full backs to be out only attacking outlet, we need full backs who can defend and top keeper.

This is quite a revelation as if one recalls correctly you were deviated then Moyes left. Or have I got you confused with someone else?
Stop being lazy and dip into the vaults. I was dissapointed Moyes left, probably more to do with what it represented, add into the mix we got Martinez. Surely you can understand my dissapointment. People change, minds change, I'm not stubborn, if I'm wrong I'll say it. Don't want Moyes or Martinez ones a garbage manager, the other said he wouldn't stand in the way of any player who wanted to leave Everton in order to force Evertons hand. Plus with the fantastic squad Martinez' has built we should be able to attract a better manager for our future.

Think you can over the years he was there. Not in terms of comparing them to us, but in terms of a worrying trend league/style wise, with an occasional foray into the cups.

I like the bloke, and wish he could fix what he has actually done now and again. But I just cant dismiss the trend over, what, 8 seasons or there about.

Don't you think that his trend at Wigan was at least partially affected by having to sell his best players though? I have read many accounts that say Alcaraz's injury is what eventually caused them to go down.

We arent building a side to hit 5-7th and occasionally get close to 4th..were building a side to consistently reach 4th.
Cheers for the response mate. Do you want me to tag in whoever the response was for? Because that's not even close to any potential answer to the question I posed. Not that you have to respond, like.

Fair enough. Hope you are right.

How does it compare with goals scored?

To me it simply shows the obvious which is that the defence and keeper need to be changed now.
