Why did you use the word 'Chelsea' that is the current trend word amoungst the Martinez in crowd, just overtaken '72 points tho lad'

Not at all. I think he and Coleman are brilliant full backs and come across very well also.

However i dont think they can play in this system and i think thats becoming more and more evident.

Why doesn't he play a system that suits the players at his disposal?

Cos Barca dont change the system, they change the players, Barca didnt give up their system, we will play the system, like Wigan, until it relegates us, cos you dont FIGHT THE SYSTEM.

Man Utd / Chelsea / Arsenal / Man City/ Spurs are the competition and we need to develop a style of play and top players to compete with them.

We have to build a squad to play the way martinez wants us to play....doesnt matter about having half a team of individuals if the other half dont match and the squad is weak....

Well rather than selling the 25 players currently in the squad, may I suggest we just change the manager who is flogging a dead system for 2 years?

That seems the best option to me.

That, to me, is the nub of all this.

He has done, then goes all one winger daft subs on us.

He has a flaw, and it will be his undoing if he doesnt address it. And any manager who looks at his first season, and doesnt recognise the mix of Moyes and Martinez was brilliant, then doesnt replicate that, is just, well, bloody annoying. To say the least.

So your saying a squad, that our manager has spent 100m building, signing 22 players in 3 years, is not looking too hot?

You have no idea what your talking about Zat, the squad is fine, it only needs 3 players MAX adding to be perfect.

The squad isnt the issue, the tactics and training are.

Playing the "Barca / Martinez" way...

Who in the squad would you be happy with going into next season with 2 players for each position and adding the 3 you mention for a top 6 finish...

I reckon we need 4 players bare minimum and even then still need another couple the following year.

Bournemouth game McCarthy injured and we collapse (Barry needs him alongside or else he hasnt got the legs).

Jagielka injured leaving Stones (developing 21 year old) alongside Mori (adapting to the league)

Besic injured so much....

Also for me Coleman and Baines not done well this season....i think they were great under Moyes and in Martinez first season BUT cant see them doing well with wingers in front of them....Oviedo for example whilst not top class made a huge difference to the left side.

Id like to see us invest in 2 absolutely top class full backs whose priority is defending and passing out from the back...not leaving us exposted positionally every game with very exciting attacking runs which in the end shouldnt be the type of players for this system.

Id actually wonder if Martinez sold coleman and Baines how mad the martinez out crowd would be OR would they feel that he's doing something proactive and positive to improve us?

So you think the full backs pushing on isn't part of Martinez system and the 2 lads are just allowed to do what they like. Ok

Playing the Barca way without playing 4-3-3? Yeah, Martinez is THAT clueless.

Ignoring the fact that in ideal world we have a new Manager, we need a Keeper and a number 8, thats about it really.
