I'm merely asking who he is. It's twitter and therefore...erm...meaningless. Why post random musings? Who IS Mr Buxton and why should we take note?
he's a local lad who is trying his hand at journalism. I'm not particularly on board with calling him out because you've never heard of him. Even when you have heard of pundit or journalist who have critical word on Martinez you've panned them. it'd be interesting to see if I could find one established or otherwise who comes close to agreeing with your side of the debate

The squad isn't the issue, it's how he's using it.

No-one is denying he's built a good squad, it's his failure to realise the potential of that squad that's the issue.

2 consecutive bottom half league finishes with that squad at his disposal would equate to failure

Whether you choose to acknowledge that simple fact or not, is irrelevant, it alters nothing.

Here three seasons:

One excellent PL campaign...on the strength of which he got a five year deal.
One tosh year when he struggled to do much else than a decent Euro campaign
One season when we've done very well in the domestic cups and still have a great chance of winning something (remember: winning trophies is what this is all about, not pats on the head for finishing 7th.)

Sorry, but for NO Everton manager in the last two decades has that ^^^^ represented failure.

Moshiri is here now and things have changed? Well we haven;t felt those changes yet and it's only logical and reasonable that Martinez is judged on the way the club has been run in those last two decades.

...so he just has an opinion like anyone else? Why elevate it?

It's just another tweet in a world of trillions of meaningless tweets.

....ahhhh!

...best let the man responsible get on with developing it further then.

No one has denied he has an eye for an player although his record is far from perfect. He'd be a decent scout

It's his ability to turn that into a winning team which is at issue dave

...a point that might be answered in spades come May.

One average PL season. Equalled our second best PL record

One tosh season which was blamed on Europe

One tosh season which there are attempts to write off because we had an easy run in the league cup until we met a decent side and an easy run in the fa cup including a below par Chelsea. Beating lower level opposition does not point to progress

because I agree with him. he must some sense he has well over 22 thousand followers, all via what appears to be his own work as apposed having a national media outlet promoting him.

Let's be honest if we were sat in 5th-7th and were contemplating changing managers I could understand the worry, but we are 12th ffs, baring a Steve mclaren esq appointment we can't do any worse right now.

I actually do wonder what some or our fans see in Martinez.

This literally breaks my heart. Like tears me up. Why has it come to where we are now Roberto? WHY??

Win me the FA cup and we can talk. Show me the romance.
He is poison mate...
