Don't hate it. I just don't get it. And hasn't a massive chunk of the this 'debate' just been attempts to ridicule people who've decided they would rather wait and see because they don't see the stats that you can see.
If you don't like a little bit of fun being poked back then what can I do

I ask that you join the debate or don't your choice but don't ridicule people for having an opinion.

Wouldn't the world be a boring place if everyone just wanted to sit on the sidelines and not give an opinion for fear of being wrong

1. Look at the table and take the leagues 2nd top goalscorer out our side.

2. Realise Martinez has only finished in the top half ONCE in his time in the premier league.

You are incredibly naive to believe we at worst wont be facing a relegation battle next season when a promoted side Bournemouth are LEVEL on points with us and another in Watford are ABOVE us, assuming a said awful Villa side and one of Newcastle or Sunderland who have been whipping boys for many seasons now goes, it's not inconceivable by any stretch to worry that 2 of the 3 promoted sides coming up next season could push us with this clowns current mismanagement.

Indeed. What will we do next year when we don't have Lukaku and the sources of 5 of our 9 wins have been relegated

....we are at the pointy end of the season and our overall league position is certainly the managers responsibility. After the Arsenal game I was chatting with a few really level headed old fans who had just come back from the game and they described the team performances as 'inept'. I've never called for this manager to be sacked but I also wouldn't look to give him excuses.
we still have games in hand over some of the teams above us.
Yes, sometimes we haven't performed and got beat, sometimes we've outperformed the opposition and still got beat.
Consistency has been our big problem this season since Bobby started sorting the defence and set pieces around Christmas, but then again everybody (except Leicester for some reason) have really struggled) should everyone sack their managers every year? That would be a wonderful world to live in, no consistency anywhere.
I have seen an improvement since Christmas even if you haven't.

Time they got rid of Lambert it was too late and relegation was slowly beckoning. Looking at this season, can you honestly say we wouldn't be looking behind our shoulders at the bottom 3 places if we took Roms goals out the side?
Not just this season - 'twas exactly the same scenario last year. If you take Rom out of the squad then our next highest goalscorer is Mirallas, who many on here want to see hanged, drawn and quartered. Take them both away: it's Kone up front and we are officially the new Wigan.

Bottom line is we need Lukaku far more than we need Martinez at this point: the striker is doing his job very well, whereas the manager....

Koeman, De Boer, Simeone could all be decent options. Tuchel maybe? Bottom line is that with the influx of new money and a need to retain our marquee striker, we have to show a bit of ambition and get a higher calibre manager in.

Except that these improvements Bobby has made fall apart when when we play a decent team

Have you heard the Evertonians comments, when coming out of the ground at the end of the match mate ?

Dagenham
Carlisle
Bournemouth
Newcastle
Stoke
Villa
Chelsea

2 lower division teams, Bournemouth reserves, 2 relegation certs, a stoke team who'd lost their previous 3 league games and an under par Chelsea

And I'm blinkered

When you look at the calibre of the 8 wins it tells a slightly different story
I notice you've conveniently left out Man City from that list.
you can only beat the teams in front of you and we've done that more than losing or drawing since the start of the year. Some of those loses weren't exactly our fault were they? so how can they be Bobby's?

You're right I forgot city. Fair cop

Although in fairness that was only the first half of the tie and the tactical mess made of the second leg probably caused a mental block.

The use of the word Conveniently implies you agree there's nothing special about the other teams we've beaten. The you can only beat what's in front of you line is true but doesn't detract from the fact that the majority of the teams we've beaten have been poor and those results are not a sign of improvement

Have you not seen his CV mate nor noticed the constant repeat of pattern?

Deffo though... Despite my feelings on the BOOBY I still fancy us...
Me too. We're winning this thing and then so many of these stats will be forgotten.
I think his cv is fine. Not guarantee of anything but it was fine. My worries weren't what he did at Wigan or Swansea but whether he was a good fit here. And for anyone to fit in relies on so many other variables and so many other personnel. I'd be far more worried anyway if we had a squad I didn't believe in.
Anyway, we're not going down. I'd be very surprised if we even come close to going down in the foreseeable future even if we employ some random guy off here as the manager. But it's all unpredictable which is the point.
