I'm really not sure what this paragraph means. Are you suggesting that because there is 65% per cent of people on an online forum saying he should leave that nobody should disagree. I don't want him to stay indefinitely, just not convinced he should now.
Are you saying it's disrespectful if people don't accept they are deluded because they don't agree with you?

Why pick one paragraph

Where in my post or in that paragraph does it say your being disrespectful if you don't agree with me?

How can I be more clearer than saying that 65% of the forum would like him gone. I am saying don't you ask yourself why 65% would like him gone, don't you think that's a large portion of the online fan base want him gone so maybe that 65% of fans have valid reasons to wanting him gone. Where did I say you can't disagree?

If there's 30% people wanting him to stay I can see reasons why they would say yes we want him to stay because-

Season 1 excellent points total
Made some excellent signings whose worth is so much more than what they were
Has taken a keen interest in creating plans for the younger players to go on loan and create a path for them

I get that, that's easy for me to say and admit that's great. I'm not telling the 30% to change their mind, I'm saying respect other people's opinions on why 65% want him gone, it isn't because of one or two poor performance is it.

Personally I think the defence of Martinez is perfectly readable. Not a moment of embarrassment. Don't agree with it all but it's palatable and far from embarrassing I feel.

Do you think it's perfectly reasonable that the manager of Everton can get away with performances at Goodison we have had this year though mate?

Our standards should be so much higher as Evertonians, especially as he's had three years to go at it and we seem to be regressing.

Did anyone like them? o_O
Nope but I've listed what I did like. And I've said as have many others that there's been positives and negatives. Up to people if they think the negatives outweigh the positives to decide whether it means we've given up on him. I'm reluctant to say I would partly because I've said it about managers and been wrong. Partly because I prefer the style we are looking to play now to how we were under Moyes. Partly because he seems to be bringing in players with an eye to the future.
I've said plenty of times what have been my concerns. One or two have been looked at. More should be. That seems to be how everyone saying give him some time is expressing it.
If people can only see negatives then up to them.

The phrase was that they deserved respect. I'm not sure who isn't respecting you. If it means that he has to go because of a poll then I really don't think that's true.
I've stated time and again that I can see the argument for and against. I've come out for. As of now. I've stated what I see as positive and often balanced it with the negative. And I'm perfectly entitled to say if people don't see any plus points then their opinion is less likely to sway me.

Come on, the debates gone on long enough. Some don't believe him good enough and almost 2 seasons of atrocious league form is enough to get him the hook. Others are more optimistic that given enough time and moolah he'll create a challenging team once he's sold Moyes's backline. There a valid views on both sides that have to be respected (ok with a bit of ribbing).

Up to me to pick my standards I think. And I've enjoyed most of what I've seen at Goodison but been left gutted or frustrated too often. Difficult to say if this is worse than turning up expecting a style of football I don't like and enough cagey wins to get by.
But at the moment I'd say the former at least gives me hope.

Right mate so what, just close down this thread and not talk about Martinez for the rest of the season?
