I was of the opinion that Martinez would get next season no matter what happened with the cup but if we keep loosing and then get knocked out his time may be up sooner than I thought.

The two semis shout is embarrassing as is but if we get knocked out in this semi who.have we beat of note to be proud about it? A bad Chelsea? We already did that the league.

If we do get knocked out in the semi it would actually be very embarrassing. The first prober challenges in both cup runs and we get dumped out.

I know I'm being negative before the cup game but it doesn't look good at all.

Let's take a defeat at Anfield then. Might as well like, at the end of the day it will be just another Anfield defeat ... and maybe even a close one at that. It's all good ;)

People are saying it was shocking and putting a spin on it? I'm sorry did you even watch the game? That United team is an absolute disgrace and we managed 1, yes just 1 abysmal shot on target with supposedly the best Everton team we've had in decades. No one is putting any spin on it, it was shocking ... anyone with any basic knowledge of football can see that. Doesn't matter though it was only a 1-0 defeat and a 'close one at that' so it's all good. Jesus wept have a word.

The excuses you have made give cringeworthy a whole new level. Serious question ... do you even know what our motto stands for? Because I as an Evertonian is what I expect and nothing less.

Oh come on. I know a lot of people who honestly think 4th palce is better than a cup. It's a perfectly reasonable opinion to have even if I disagree.

And that 2005 seaosn was utterly superb, we had the samllest budget of any team in the league, had lost our best player after coming 17th the previous year and then spent most of the year in a title race.

I can't blame any blue for rating that above 1995 or this year if we win a trophy.

Saying that some fans might think that is not an insult.
 

1-0 away defeat to Man Utd. No one could have been looking at that as a game we shouldn't lose. They are CL spot contenders.

I'm sorry, but the fume was called faux for very good reason: that's exactly what it is -faux.

The real rage from many of these people (perhaps the bulk) is that they know Martinez has that SF cup tie to fire us to season success. THATS the real game here: fear of that happening. They are literally enraged that we're still in their with a fantastic shot at the cup and ending the season on a historic note.

And that ^^^ is bang on the money, isn't it?

It's not what he said per se, it was more the "having a stab at other people" thing, as the lad's done it a lot.
