Explain:

And how that isn't the same thing that you're describing, albeit in a more passively aggressive way?

Did I specifically point out an individual Blue and take a shot?

Some Blues do have that opinion. I don't agree with it. @Allezfan stated if we win the Cup it would be our best season since we last won the cup. I was merely stating that some may challenge that opinion regarding the Champions League qualification in '05.

We could have won the league this year if we'd performed like what we should be capable of given how the 'big' teams have played. So I get the frustration.

lol

No we couldn't. We're 12 in the league for a reason. A lot of it is down to the manager who has to go, but the players quite clearly aren't as good as some make them out to be.

Proven by Coleman attempting to clear the ball with his right foot, with a player waiting to score behind him, when he could have just cleared it simply with his left. The players make mistakes week in week out that cost us. It's not all on the manager.

1-0 away defeat to Man Utd. No one could have been looking at that as a game we shouldn't lose. They are CL spot contenders.

I'm sorry, but the fume was called faux for very good reason: that's exactly what it is -faux.

The real rage from many of these people (perhaps the bulk) is that they know Martinez has that SF cup tie to fire us to season success. THATS the real game here: fear of that happening. They are literally enraged that we're still in their with a fantastic shot at the cup and ending the season on a historic note.

And that ^^^ is bang on the money, isn't it?

Why aren't we CL spot contenders, Dave?

The man is so infuriating...

'There were two games within a game," he told BBC Sport. "Up until the goal, we were the team with a better tempo and we always looked a threat.

At half time, both sides had 0 shots on target!

"The goal was a very soft action, it's not up to our standards"

The same standards which has seen us concede 100 goals in the last year?

what standards is he referring to ???

anyone else looking nervously down the table?

I would be genuinely embarrassed if I were you writing that, suggesting that the 'bulk' of Evertonians on here actively don't want to win a cup. Pathetic post.

Leicester. City.

All we needed to was hire a better chemist.

Let's take a defeat at Anfield then. Might as well like, at the end of the day it will be just another Anfield defeat ... and maybe even a close one at that. It's all good ;)

People are saying it was shocking and putting a spin on it? I'm sorry did you even watch the game? That United team is an absolute disgrace and we managed 1, yes just 1 abysmal shot on target with supposedly the best Everton team we've had in decades. No one is putting any spin on it, it was shocking ... anyone with any basic knowledge of football can see that. Doesn't matter though it was only a 1-0 defeat and a 'close one at that' so it's all good. Jesus wept have a word.

The excuses you have made give cringeworthy a whole new level. Serious question ... do you even know what our motto stands for? Because I as an Evertonian is what I expect and nothing less.
If we could guarantee a trophy by doing it I'd accept a defeat from them.

...and anyone thinking clearly would too.

Unlike you mate, people aren't worried about being wrong - if Martinez wins the cup, goes on a blinding run and takes us on next season, we'd all be delighted.

But you - you simply can't take the very possibility you're completely wrong.

So this is the pot calling the kettle black in every possible way.
