We can belittle Leicester all we want, but they have players who do their jobs properly every week, and we don't.

I think they've overachieved and we've under achieved.

I honestly think that league was there to be won. Any team who'd managed to go on a run could have done it. It could have been us but it wasn't and that's something to be angry about.

This was a good a chance as we'll ever have given we have one of the best strikers in the league and so any other teams have played poorly.

1-0 away defeat to Man Utd. No one could have been looking at that as a game we shouldn't lose. They are CL spot contenders.

I'm sorry, but the fume was called faux for very good reason: that's exactly what it is -faux.

The real rage from many of these people (perhaps the bulk) is that they know Martinez has that SF cup tie to fire us to season success. THATS the real game here: fear of that happening. They are literally enraged that we're still in their with a fantastic shot at the cup and ending the season on a historic note.

And that ^^^ is bang on the money, isn't it?
You should explain that to Lukaku I'm sure if he understood then he'd realise that losing week in week out in the league is just the price you have to pay for success and he'd be looking for a new contract.

Maybe you lose that sharpness which leads to mistakes when you hardly focus on defending in training...

So Coleman needs to be taught that it's not a sensible option to try and clear the ball in the same direction as where their striker is stood behind him with his leg outstretched? Shame of it is, he couldn't even do that and completely missed it. lol. Fail to see how Martinez can be blamed for yet another piece of inept defending by our so called potential title winning team.

I want Martinez gone right now by the way, but not prepared to let the players off when they can't do the basics that would see them even break in to the top 10, let alone near the top of the table.

If we could guarantee a trophy by doing it I'd accept a defeat from them.

...and anyone thinking clearly would too.

You'd accept a defeat? Why not want to win at Anfield and win the cup? I'll ask again ... do you even know what our motto stands for? You should never want to accept defeat ffs.

Of course I would love a pot. And fair play if he delivers.

But the league trend is downward. Has been for 24 months. The league is the barometer of any manager. Not flash in the pan cup wins, great though they are.

And before the inevitable "Cup can be a springboard", well, it can. Just not with this manager imo. Shame.
...we'll see.

Cup wins are massive...we've only ever won 5, so I dont underestimate the importance.

Come on dave. Below par for you that, mate.

Martinez has us nowhere near the CL equation and therefore he doesn't have to answer any blame for us losing to a mediocre side that IS in that position (with a manager who that team's supporters want sacked) - is sloppy logic even for you.

And to follow it up with "anyone who disagrees with me doesn't want Everton to succeed"?

Must try harder. And buy a better rod

If there's a CHOICE.

...and if it was a choice: cup win every time.

No, no you didn't, it was more of a generalisation, and using "SOME blues" just makes it sound even more passive aggressive, while you're claiming it is not right.

But a lot of folks do rate 2004-05 over winning the Cup. I personally think winning the Cup is a bigger achievement.

I don't know how this is being viewed as passive aggressive.
