Exactly we've struggled against park the bus types the last few years, now we're putting them to the sword

Another thing the plotters can cross of their list when looking to critique
As quickly they cross something off they find something else to moan about

I will give credit to the people who still have misgivings and still post even when we have knocked in 11 goals in 3 games. The ones who hide under their transformer quilts when we win are the ones I despair about, they appear and shout loud how poor a manager he is when we lose but will give no credit when we win.

A couple of swallows do not a summer make. Everton has great potential. I believe we have the squad to realise something much more than is dreamt in mine or GOT's philosophy... Horatio be damned!!

Just watched the highlights, great football yesterday. Deulofeu is really making the difference. Having him and Kone able to create from the flanks is returning the team to its 13/14 level. You can see the difference with two players who can create in the side rather than Naismith/Etoo flanks last season. Need to keep this run going because anything we want is open in the league this year.

Learning the art of consecutive wins in the League would be a start ;)

Demolishing 2 sides who've set out to park the bus against us shows signs of improvement from last season.

If we follow it up with a controlled away win and nullify a team who'll look to counter us in our next home game then I'll start getting optimistic.

The performances that Aston Villa and Sunderland put in allowed that to happen.
I don't think I've ever seen a worse team come to Goodison than Aston Villa.

Might it occur to you that that Del, Ross, Rom and company made them look that bad?

Are we such a Sad Sack bunch of fans that rather than believe we have a nascent Rolls Royce of a ream developing we would rather point to the deficiencies of the Lada in opposition colours?

I don't think Sunderland really had that intention to be honest - they played with a high line and came at us, which is playing right into our hands.

Villa certainly did, though, and I think the result was pretty much the perfect showcase of a Martinez team working well: dominate the ball, be patient, open up the opposition, score a couple, then sit back a little and hit on the counter once you've forced them to attack.
