The back door has been kicked in and needs replacing.

I do more than kick in yer Ma's backdoor

Is what I'd say if I hadn't already been banned from this thread. On topic; isn't that Martinez just an absolute fraud?

...it was a staggering hypocrisy if true. Pot calling the (relatively shiny) kettle, black.

No, it would have been a fairly typical employer / employee conversation. Something's not working, you talk about it and, if necessary, explain in no uncertain terms that carrying on "as is" isn't acceptable. As an employee, Martinez has a responsibility to deliver certain goals at the club. There was definitely a time when last season when it looked like he was falling short. It would have been irresponsible of the board to ignore that.

If you worked for me ( perish the thought on both sides ) and you weren't delivering, I would have had that sort of conversation with you. You'd have probably gone off in a strop and sulked, but it appears that Martinez is made of sterner stuff, took on board some of the criticisms, turned things round and everyone ended up being happy.

Thankfully, we're no longer in that situation.

Don't really think we demand instant success. But I was 3 when we last won a trophy and every season that goes by certainly increases the frustration and impatience. Like it or loathe it, but it's how modern football is. We want at least evidence we are on right track but I feel the opposite right now with the defensive side of our game in freefall.

Know where your coming from mate, just keep the faith.

I,d put it down to the manager as the key driver to the success at that club so far.

Saying that though, Nigel Pearson was doing a great job before Ranieri, even Ranieri said when he came in he didn't change anything.

I like Ranieri, he's one of those manager who are hard to dislike no matter what they do, the funny thing is, when he was first being touted for Leicester it was mocked by most of the media.

*ignoring the very hurtful words thrown in my direction like daggers....*

You're dealing in apples and pears there lad. If any ordinary employer has a word with any employee in the world of trade you can be almost certain that they;ll have some hands on experience of what they're having a word about. Not so our esteemed directors...unless you know they've all taken their coaching badges like.
