We watched the blueprint yesterday of good attacking and good energy and good defending as a unit. If we can work as hard as Spurs do off the ball, we would be where they are in the league as well.

Basically we live in hope that we might fluke a cup at some point in Martinez's tenure despite no league evidence indicating this.

I really hope we do but all of this 'Martinez is a good cup manager' stuff could equally apply to Harry Redknapp, Alex Mcleish and Laudrup. I want us to do City but I'm not expecting us to based on some mythical ability Martinez supposedly has in cup competitions.

Using the league has no or little baring on cup wins, you proved that in the rest of your post.

But I get what you mean. I feel the way we play, we have a better chance of winning a 'one off' cup or massive game, I may be wrong, I am now and again.

Don't know where this good cup manager came from and I certainly don't understand how we could fluke a cup. You need to put your hatred to one side and try to see through your green mist and concentrate on backing the team and manager a little bit better than bitter.
