Signing the players we have over the last couple of years with midtable finishes doesn't seem to have hurt us.

Considering we have finished on average 7th in most seasons over the past 10 years or so- at a time where we were the best of the rest outside the "top 6" meant we could attract a good calibre of player. If you think we can trump the likes of Stoke, Palace or West ham for any player with bottom half finishes because "we are everton" is naive in the extreme, like I say the middle pack have caught up.

We all want to see us win a trophy but I'm not buying this BS that doing so means bottom half finishes is acceptable. NSNO doesn't translate to that, we have players like Lukaku, Barkley, Deloufou, Stones, McCarthy, Jagielka, Coleman etc. We should be finishing top half minimum trophy or no trophy.

Sick of our fanbase and their drop in expectations since last season, the same lot who im guessing would have tarred and feathered Neville for coming out with his "top 10 is a great achievement for a club like everton" or whatever he said along those lines.

You're obviously in the Generation Me age bracket, and need to accept that just because you support Everton because your Dad was a glory hunter from the 80s doesn't give you an entitlement to more of the same.
