Utter claptrap from start to finish.
He's entirely right to defend his players from any external criticism - especially when officialdom has been so disgracefully bad as it was on Saturday to deny them. Any manager who doesn't is an oaf. It's good man management skills.
The bigger picture IS the rebuild that's going on. Secondary to that is getting consistency of performance between the defensive and attacking blend. That will come naturally through experience, and more importantly through natural wastage of a GK being replaced.
And the opportunity he has here that you speak of is entirely of his own making: he put this team together by and large; he is responsible for their technical development; he is responsible for the style of play that's receiving universal recognition. He's had nothing given to him: he's made this chance for himself.
'UNIVERSAL RECOGNITION'?
Dave, y'know what...I admire it, I do, Love is a complicated thing, it takes the heart and throws it to the mercy of the tides at times. But, please, rest it now...I'll say it slowly...
'Roberto will NEVER hold you in those phenomenal hairy arms of his. Ever...'
There.
Anyway, universally recognised by who? The press? But you say they're worthless Dave, the press? You even opt to primarily have a pop at the journo writing up the interview rather than see that there may be concerns with the content of what's said. Weird. (This IS a BIG love isn't it Dave) PLUS a majority of press coverage is completely in line with a majority of the views here is it not? Are you READING the press coverage? Surely you must be given you cite the football as 'universally recognised', yes?
'It's good man management skills...' No, it sounds a tad desperate mate, him, not you BTW (though thinkin' about it...) And, y'know, we didn't win the game did we, not like BOB said we did...
Oh, and I'll ask you this one really, REALLY slowly
Who...picks...the...keeper?
Best regards etc.
