Roberto Martinez discussion

No mate - he's measured to a higher standard than what either he or Moyes in the second half of his tenure met.

Moyes in his first few years here performed better than Martinez has, pound for pound. And I say that as someone who thought Moyes was awful in the second half of his time here.

As said above, "doing slightly better than Moyes did in his last five years here" isn't a success story, especially given this squad he has.
Yeah, I remember thinking the same myself at the time, when he nearly relegated us.

Quite strange how we sold a player for almost 30m that was ruined.

I mean in todays money thats like 80m.

didnt say he was ruined, bish, just he wasnt being used to full advantage by Davey. Anyway this is the Bobby threrad so stay on topic or i'll report yo ass.

Why is it that if you have an even remotely negative opinion of BOBBY or even a passing questioning of his acumen....or even JUST a general concern about results then, hmmm, you seem to be automatically deemed an advocate/uber-fan of MOYES and lumped in the pen marked 'bring back hoofball'?

It's such a weird reaction and it's like a massive twitch at times.

It also seems to serve as a BIG cloak to wrap around RM and go 'how dare you say such things'!

Odd.

Anyway, has big tall TRAORE been seen in the LIDL yet?

What about when we played Villarreal in the Champions League qualifier?

I'm no fan of Moyes he more than outstayed his welcome but the fact remains he did get 4th place and under Martinez' rules I'm sure we beat Villarreal.

61 points to get 4th spot. Unreal low total. 16 points adrift of 3rd spot that season.
