Roberto Martinez discussion

I think that if we don't make that final, more of the fan base will turn on him

That being said, it wouldn't change anything

Again, we will NEVER sack him while this current board is in place

It won't happen. You can all vault me if you like, but I'm supremely confident that he's not getting sacked no matter what happens

The current board isn't what he has to worry about though. Any change of ownership and all bets on who'll be manager next season are off.

The board will change within weeks. There'll be no knee jerk sacking, but I doubt a new set of owners will be as forgiving of failure.

Football is a fickle beast though, if we do somehow manage to get through on Weds, then he'll be safe until the summer imo

Swansea are one of the lowest scoreing teams in the league and they just beat us, Besic is out for the season, they will score at least twice on wednesday, cup dream will be over at half time at thr Etihad

The big worry for me is if we lose on Wednesday there still will be four days of the window left..
Will some of our assets start to make noises and further disrupt the team - remember we only have 29 points we need another four wins.
Scary how fast a blip can become a freefall.

Agree about the board not sacking him. Nothing will change until they're gone.
True that mate, I was shocked at the number of people in the parkend at the end saying they wanted him gone, few in front of me getting a bit heated about it.
Getting towards crunch time with him, lose midweek and he will be under pressure.
Saying that even if we win its only covering over the cracks , the performance of this team has been substandard for ages

Martinez is a poor leader; he needs to have the balls to make tough decisions (dropping Stones, Howard, etc.). His nice guy personality is probably what is holding him back from being a great manager. Our players play beautiful, free flowing football at the cost of a lack of any discipline whatsoever. Kenwright is fapping at our complacency as fans for accepting these entertaining "pseudo wins" week in and week out.

Should he be fired? No. But he needs to get this straightened out before our core wants out. If this isn't fixed by next season, HE NEEDS TO GO.
