Roberto Martinez discussion

He has to go in the summer the likes of Stones And Rom will be sold in the summer look at the squad we have now if he can't get the best out of these players it would be crazy to let him spend that money building a new team

Point is we are crap , we aren't getting any better by the looks of it and soon these so called brilliant players we have will be running out the club to one who at least can win a game now and again.
What's that got to do with Cleverly's goal at Newcastle?

What's wrong with us?

1. Martinez is tactically inept. Other teams know how to set-up and play against us. Essentially press us high and deny us space and time in the midfield. He doesn't have an answer to this. I've lost count how many games it's cost us this season.

2. Lack of leadership on the pitch. I can remember when we had Southall, Ratcliffe, Reid and Gray, all of them leaders. We have no-one now apart from Jags and he's not that vocal. Mori is a step in the right direction though.

3. No confidence in the goalkeeper. It's plain to see that our defence have absolutely no confidence in Howard. Time to change it Bobby, however this brings me onto my last point.

4. Martinez is too loyal to his players. Kone, Howard are shining examples of this. Oh and he needs to bench Barkley now, the lad is having a shocker lately. He needs a break to relax, finger some birds and get wasted.

Sort it out FFS!!!
No leader on the pitch, and no leader off it.

can't disagree with any of this.

I think it is becoming apparent that he is no leader of men and the "nicey nicey" approach of managing players has gone too far. The players are far to comfortable knowing that that they will not be singled out for criticism for defensive errors.

There can be little point in fans singling out individual players such as Howard, Barkley, Stones etc as the manager will select them regardless of how they perform.

Add that to the fact that he does not know how to win football matches and has today admitted he does not know how to play home games, then I think he has made his position inexcusable and should be relieved of his job with immediate effect.
