What do you mean by Football manager?
Also how often had the phrase 'we deserve better' been used? Can you do a bit of vaulting?
Their is a difference between fans saying what they deserve and what they expect.
I'm not going to regurgitate all the negative stats that have been posted by myself and others to prove expectations aren't being met.
I am interested to know where you are at with Martinez/Everton and depending on that what would it now take to change your stance one way or the other?
I'll have to take this on one at a time.
Football manager -
Fans generally look at individuals
collectively and their abilities rather than the team.
So there are some of us as a fanbase that will say:
John Stones, on the ball- composed, elegant, assured.
Lukaku on the ball- scores goals
Deu- provides width, assists
So on and so forth. What no one addresses is that them harnessing those skills and complimenting each other as a
team is not something which happens overnight, as the manager has said. I believe he's spot on. Our team on paper is not a reflection of where they are as a team. Fans, media and the like don't care, they just see these exciting individuals and believe we should be higher up the league, just by default.
Vaulting-
I am not going to do any vaulting as I genuinely can't be bothered trawling through. If you sincerely believe there aren't those that think being an Everton aren't a bigger and better club than, say West Ham, yet have nothing to back that up within the last 25 years then that's up to you.
Generally on RM-
I think we have been dealt a dodgy hand at times. I think people understate the fact we've been without McCarthy and Besic for alot of games.
I think he's had it rough tbh and doesn't deserve the stick he's getting. I know, from experience in a completely different industry granted, that younger professionals are infuriating at times with their lack of detail, application, thought...I could go on an on... But it makes it worth it over a period of years when they are shouldering the expectations of the company and excelling.
I'd give him another season, the manager, at the very least. That's just met.
