Roberto Martinez discussion

I think progress has to be made this season IF placement on the table means a greater share of the television money. That could mean the difference of a brand new stadium and keeping our players vs. all the other alternatives.

Backwards!!! is open to opinion, you see I don't think he has. We IMO are more geared up for success than we have been for many a year and from youth to full team. Depends how you look at it. Now I feel he will be given the time with better resources to see how he does. If RM left now you would have to hold your hand up and say we are in a stronger position than when he came.
He has taken a top 6 team and made us into a 12th place team that to me is going backwards.
4 home wins in 8 months is disgraceful.
So if he left now we are going the wrong way and i would say that is not a good thing

Although I see Davek's point and understand the perfect logic I also see that the media have been putting pressure on Roberto Martinez and a lot of fans have been phoning the radio and complaining. There have been a lot of boos at Goodison and two straight wins papers over this. I don't think it would take much more of that for Martinez's position to not be very secure.

Two defeats in a row and I could see this all changing. We know how football can work and wouldn't it be ironic if Mourinho was in charge of Everton for the Chelsea quarter final.
Not now mate. This news about Kenwright staying put and the investment situation getting (apparently) a hell of a lot brighter will settle matters right down.

Everyone GETS IT now. We know what the near future looks like and matters are at rest. The frustration amongst supporters was also due to the fact that the club was in takeover turmoil. That is now at an end.

You don't become a billionaire without being able to spot a blag artist and a weak link in the set up, time for suffering fools is looking like coming to an end. It's one thing Kenwright trusting Martinez with his own train set but someone else will have has his hand on the dead mans handle very soon and he won't be putting up with Martinez for long.
Your right he will act on fact and reality and not pipe dreams and jibberish

The frustration amongst supporters is down to the clown of a manager and at least now we will have a majority shareholder to do the right thing and get shut

Martinez is safe till at least the end of the season. None of us have a clue how this fella feels towards Roberto so it's all hearsay at this point.

I don't see a billionaire who is actually pumping in investment having just as much patience however.

For me there is no doubt that a more favourable league position should have been the primary object after last season. Okay there have been two cup runs, one still ongoing but for me they mean sod all unless the club actually wins the trophies concerned.

Again I understand your point of view but conversely, and just like yourself, Everton fans want success, and with a new 'takeover', defeats will not be tolerated, disppointment and boos will get louder as expectations rise with a billionaire on the board.

Maybe part of the reason Moshiri has left Arsenal is because he and Usmanov had no influence in calls about the manager. Arsenal have not won the league title for how long now.
