It's constant "what if". Last year it was "what if" the Europa League, this season it was "what if" the league cup. He won the FA Cup with Wigan and took them down.
Villa beat Liverpool in the FA Cup semi final and got to the final with a much worse squad than ours. Look at them now, all that positivity last May was false optimism.
I don't believe he is capable of enabling us to defend in a way that would allow us to be consistent and challenge for the top 4 (like West Ham, who looked awful today are).
No no, this isn't about last season's "what ifs", because obviously that's in the past and the result won't change. The FA Cup is ahead of us.
I think I'm right in gathering you don't see an FA Cup win as a successful season? There's no right or wrong answer by the way, I was genuinely interested. I'm not 100% either way on it. It would be ace to win some silverware though.
