Roberto Martinez discussion

I question whether Bill, having seen first hand Moyes' work will really consider Martinez as 'safe as houses' as some posters like to make out. We know Bill has a good relationship with the senior players who cannot all be content (again as some like to state as fact). My guess is that the board were made up that a cheap managerial appointment improved on Moyes in the first season but were then rocked by an absolutely abysmal season especially given the outlay on the likes of Lukaku. Giving Roberto the benefit of the doubt they'll have watched this season with interest. If we go out of the cup and finish outside the Europa places I think it will be curtains for Roberto especially as they see the likes of Leicester and Spurs fly away from us. I don't think they'll trust him with new investment. It's all guess work though but I just don't buy the posters who say he is 100% here to stay under no pressure.

baines probably finds himself out of the side due to questioning martinez.

He'll have to start doing it mate to see games out, if he doesn't, then that will be his downfall, and the only person who will be to blame is Martinez.

Well how many times we are 2 goals up and end up with one/zero points in the end this season? Five/six occasions at least? He does not seem to learn. If so, he would have park the bus (say Barry/Baines on not playing Naisse up front with Rom) when we were 2-0 with 15 mins to go.

As my 16 year old lad said, he could have brought Baines on at left back and pushed Oviedo up into midfield.

For those who still believe in Martinez

Unfortunately the manager cannot see what ordinary people (like us) perceive. I think he has too much faith on his own ideology and will not change as he sees nothing wrong in it.

Even a West Ham player openly said Everton have no idea to deal with crosses. The team should have put 10 players behind the ball. 2-0 for God sake and we managed to concede three goals...
