You're making the assumption that playing in a team that's underperforming for a manager who can't see the problems won't make up their minds
Martinez being allowed to stay may send the message that we lack ambition to improve and they are better off elsewhere
If my Maths is correct then that equates to four wins out of seventeen home league fixtures from May 2015 onwards.
That would again roughly works out as slightly less than a 24% win rate at home in the previous eight months of fixtures in the league.
I have tried to give him the benefit of the doubt but, reluctantly I have come to the conclusion that he is out of his depth, I have tried to have confidence in him because I absolutely hated the Moyes way of playing and couldn't stand his defeatist attitude, knife to a gunfight etc. However, I believe that Roberto is too stubborn or arrogant or whatever to realise that he is making mistakes, he really has to learn very very quickly or go.

In fairness this team for both potential and flair is nowhere near the smith era or mostly under Moyes. I agree the stats don't lie but there are positives with RM notably the attacking improvement - 2nd highest scorers is no mean feat in this league. Not defending the goals conceded at home - it's unacceptable but in contrast to the away form its an odd position. While we all rightly expect more we must also remember it was the manager himself who put the majority of the potential together.
Thing is lids, we get/make it/stagger, to the end of the season, Wembley wins or no, (under the old regime especially) there may well be a Board meeting and statement;
'Reluctantly as of, blah blah thanks etc.'

It's the end of July or so, the season starts in 2 or 3 weeks, the Window closed in 4 or 5 and the New Guy hasn't seen a ball kicked in anger yet.

You've ignored a key word in my post... 'may'
It may not effect them either way - or as you say keeping RM may mean they want to leave.
However, IMO, the team isn't 'not playing for him'. It's one of the few things he has going for him that the players are still on side. How long that will last is up in the air.

Exactly. Give a new manager time to figure out what he's got before the euros. Even if it's just to allow them to identify who or what type of player to watch out for at the euros
I watched it and although he's right in some departments he's an utter utter ted mate. Genuinely a horrid person as well by all accounts. He hates us as well. Never got a good thing to say about Everton - not just Martinez.
He criticised us for playing with high full backs and saying that's why we concede.
Utter tripe. We concede because we don't stop the crosses at source and sit too deep, with our defenders seemingly incapable of heading the ball.
For all of his faults RM often gets criticised by the national media for things that actually he doesn't do that wrong. The basics are his set pieces and crosses which literally get no mention by the media.
Wally, there is nobody available right now who would come in and guarantee improvement/leave the job they are in now at this stage in the season.
Flores? No he won't leave Watford yet.
De Boer? He won't leave Ajax yet.
Etc etc and that's just two examples.
If it's going to be done it has to be at the end of the season.
