Roberto Martinez discussion

Lennon would not have prevented those goals...just an easy excuse to put all the blame on that sub. The nature of the modern fan.

Our inability to deal with crosses and long balls...we are crap in the air. The players are getting off way too easy. Barry and Besic failed to track Payet for their winner...seemingly not guilty at all.
Ilikecheese, you are an apologist who is sounding more and more like a broken clock...I care less for your opinion tbh

Yep...we all see it and it's abundantly obvious our home support is part of the problem...pissses me off beyond to no end.
you my friend are part of the problem. Your inability to grasp reality presented to you and your indentured head in the sand attitude, is not beneficial to our club.

If you don't see the problem with the home support then I despair. It's terrible. Took a red card to get them going...embarrassing.
you and I will never see eye to eye. I consider your R Martinez constant apologisings ("it's the home crowds fault", "we were incredible and deserved more" etc etc) as totally undermining reality, and what our club needs to progress. R Martinez is in a pay station waaay above his ability...stop pretending otherwise.

So yeah...terrible home support is always helpful

Can't you see this is what he wants? To create a fracture in the fan base, it's his evil master plan.

...typical of a teamster who's got his cart before his horse, you resort to hackneyed tropes. The home crowd at Goodison has witnessed defeat /draw snatched from victory SO many times under R Martinez, that a deflated resigned air is not to be unexpected. Your Pollyannaish demeanour lends suggestion that you are not often seated live at ground zero Goodison?

All good...enjoy your view...I have mine...Lennon was gassed and was not the reason we lost.

Have said this many times and I give you the reason again. You should park the bus, bringing on defensive subs to hold onto a 2-0 lead with 15 mins to go not trying to get more goals especially you are a man down. Put all your players behind the ball to defend, ensuring a win.

"terrible home support" Since when did it become acceptable to berate fellow supporters of the club, who not only pay to watch the game, but who have stood by for countless years of failure and mediocrity and still in number turn up to support their team? When everything emanating from the the club has systematically led to failure. The one constant in that entire time has been the home support, who have stood by the club through the good and the bad, while board, managers and players have failed them. Wind yer neck in lad.

R Martinez's win/draw/loss stats over 2 and 2/3 seasons (never mind his Wigan tenure!) speaks volumes. That apologists/cultists refuse to face reality is a bit disconcerting. We are all Everton supporters right?...so why would any supporter want a manager with his track record???...

This. It bemuses me that apologists like @ilikecheese continue to spout absolute excrement in desperate defence of their beloved Catalan...their man of straw. R Martinez's track record is stupendously terrible. That he helms Everton Football Club's XI lends me despair. That the cultists on this forum continue to lend him succour, I can only ascribe to cognitive dissonance.
Pass the Kool-Aid...
