Roberto Martinez discussion

His track record is, along with Harry Redknapp. Which by the way is another manager with a habit of relegating clubs. Managed to win the F.A cup outside of the top four in the last ten years.

He's embarrassing himself and the club at the moment. Everyone(non-Evertonians) can see what a talented squad we have and how we are under achieving again. It's not good enough and I think a fresh start under the new regime would be best all round.

It's also worth mentioning that whether We deserve to get beat or not is irrelevant, the facts stand that we do Lose or Draw games when we have been on top, utter garbage this season.

I take it you dont go to home matches. How can you criticise those who spend hard earned cash to watch that drivel on a regular basis. What are we supposed to do. Hey mate good match that losing 3-2 from 2-0 up. Im glad we stayed and clapped them off the pitch. Theyre on 30-40k a week at least. They should be able to do things on the pitch to excite and engage the fans. On another note though, the grass was slightly too long on Sat. Id blame the mower too Mr Martinez

Here's Gordon Lee's record over four years, 9th, 3rd, 4th and 19th. Two semi-finals. Not bad in hindsight considering what we've had to put up with in the last 25 years. Ultimately though sacked. Why? Not good enough. Maybe we should have waited another year to see if the 19th was just a one off, an aberration? Or just maybe, the board had ambition, a winning mentality and perhaps the supporters too.

So the fans not being happy with being served up 3-4 or 2-3 or even Leicester games, west brim games makes them terrible fans?

Not being happy with how the team is being managed, not being happy about the poor results or the fact they are watching so many teams worse than us on paper have far better seasons?

After finishing 15th in his last season he was sacked. Look at Martinez, 5th in his first season. With a record points total which we are reminded ad infinitum. Which is basically a train spotting stat, a footnote, that should only ever be brought up at an Everton quiz night down the pub on a Tuesday night. Last season 11th and unless there is a turnaround on the scale of roads leading to Damascus we look like we are going to finish this season around the same place. If you can't see by now, that with the new TV money coming in and a billionaire investor, it's time write the slate clean and finally wake from this slumber. Then you really have to ask yourself just what is it you expect from supporting Everton. The motto isn't there just for decoration.

Lennon would not have prevented those goals...just an easy excuse to put all the blame on that sub. The nature of the modern fan.

Our inability to deal with crosses and long balls...we are crap in the air. The players are getting off way too easy. Barry and Besic failed to track Payet for their winner...seemingly not guilty at all.

He brought another striker on when we had to see the game out for 15 mins with 10 men.

If we'd have had 2 banks of 4 then they wouldn't have had the time and space to keep putting the crosses in, the substitution changed the game and left us under huge pressure. Your patronising tone is wasted on this fanbase mate.

Blaming the match going fans was a beauty as well.

There yourself were you lad?

This is another myth, Lennon, was knackered that's why he was substituted. Firstly only Lennon knows that, if true. And unless Martinez is going to release a cardio readout I'm going to assume it's BS. After all he's a premiership player, I know Sunday league players who'd run till they were carried off the pitch. To suggest that an athlete can't perform for the duration of the match, besides begging the question, why is he at this standard? The question then becomes why are you picking players without endurance and stamina if you know they are going to fade in the last crucial quarter? Are they fit, or do they just work at ball skills all day?

It it really is that simple imo

Bringing on a striker when your 2-0 up with 15 to go was suicide

The mans a idiot, He was chasing more goals knowing West Ham would attack us in the final stages, Worked out a treat

My wonder is, lose on saturday, how many supporters will turn once all we have left is the league? The cups have been smoke and mirrors in the grand scheme of things and once you pull the curtain away then a lot of fans will see the wizard of oz for who he really is.

4 games we could potentially lose on the back of current season standings, will Roberto finally know his time is up by then?

It's not just West Ham either, this is a recurring nightmare, that supporters, journalists, ex players and opposing managers know. Our weakness with crosses, positioning, a coherent defense system, is it really that hard to address? Even supporters of Martinez must see that. Instead what we get is, bad luck, poor officiating, home supporters are trolls, questioning is hysterical, the treasure is at the end of the rainbow...

I've always been concerned by his choice of backroom staff, they seem to be a mixture of his mates who he played with in the 3rd division and ex Blues for sentiment. Maybe I'm doing a few people a dis-service here but it would seem to be a bit coincidental that there people are the best for the job.
