Ha ha haWigan fans are happy to be remembered as cup winners rather than for finishing fourth from the bottom of the Premier League.
Dave Whelan was reducing his spending on Wigan, so relegation was inevitable at some point. Roberto just postponed it by a season or two.
Most Wigan fans are enjoying life at the top of League 1 more than at the bottom of the Premier League.
I don't think you're correct mate.
Most of those players he brought to the club himself such as lukaku, deulofeu and also Besic. The Stones (who he wanted at wigan) and barkley development....well moyes didnt do much for them and who knows if Mourinho for example would play them either.
He plays young players...look at galloway, garbutt as well. He also signs young players when he had money to spend.
As for mot bringing players through ??? Well he has done so with quite a few of them hasnt he? Not sure who else he could have promoted?
8 mate. don't get ahead of ourselves here! 5 are the bottom 4 as well, stoke chelsea and west brom the others.
Think they would mate, bit crap playing in league one when you used to go to old trafford a couple years before.

What is the point of going up if you deem the Wigan fans are enjoying life at the top of League 1.
Life has its ups and downs.
He had to trim costs by 25-30% when the others around him increased their budgets...that factor seems to be totally ignored when comparing him to other wigan managers or their relegation.
That makes more sense, plus didn't TV money start to increase around that time as well? I mean not in the same way of the last 2-3 years, by 20-30m each, but still a bit more. What evidence is there for that mate?
As far as I can see from the Guardian finances based on the club's accounts.
Wigan increased their wage bill Martinez' time there, and when they got relegated they had the highest % of wages to turnover they'd ever had.
They may not have had the highest wage bill in the division, but they didn't cut costs like some make out.
This is beyond a shadow of a doubt the stupidest thing I've ever seen. Your seriously saying that Wigan fans would rather be battling for a play off spot in League One with only the memory's of that one day at Wembley to keep them happy over playing week in and week out in the Premiership?! I hope for your sake that your just a WUM because otherwise you need medication!Wigan fans are happy to be remembered as cup winners rather than for finishing fourth from the bottom of the Premier League.

Forgot Southampton hahai hate to tell you but we have 9 wins. I hope that doesn't switch you to the Martinez in camp.
Southampton, Chelsea, Sunderland, Stoke, W Brom, Newcastle * 2, villa * 2
Martinez will destroy Klopp. Think we will smash them all over the shop and then finally start the wheels in motion to push up the league.
“It's not like they bombarded the box. They had two crosses and scored two goals, that's bad defending rather than having a (specific) weakness.
