Roberto Martinez discussion

Watch the games and you can work it out for yourself.

As for "immature put downs" you have repeatedly posted in this thread about saturdays match and yet its clear you didnt even watch the game as you have no clue where the players were being played or the formation.

You've underlined that in your last few posts.

What sort of agenda must someone have to come onto an internet site simply to write nonsense about the manager when they didnt even see the game....thats actually quite worrying.

You've lost it mate. I went to the game so stop telling me I didn't watch it just because you disagree with me. Rather than insulting me, please articulate why you consider Niasse for Lennon s like for like sub that didn't change our team shape? I saw Niasse being indisciplined, drifting centrally, not tracking back, the exact opposite of what Lennon was offering.

He was over near the Bullens several times when he should have been on the left if he was just a "like for like".

Lennon wasn't playing left he was playing at the top of a midfield diamond. Drifted across left to right and gave the full backs a hand.

11 home wins since April 2014 out of a possible 33 games.

7 of those against Newcastle, Sunderland, Villa, QPR ,Burnley

1 set of back to back wins all season in the league

1 win against a top 4 side in two years. 0 away from home since December 2013.

Out of 21 league wins over the last 2 years , 13 of them have been against Villa, West Brom, Sunderland,

QPR, Burnley and Newcastle.

How much longer does this go on ?

Abit longer yet!

Yep, if he was to be subbed then it had to be for someone who was going to press loads. Lukaku for Niasse would have been the ideal sub for me. That or go 4-4-1, bring on Baines and move Oviedo to left mid.

Not much longer I suspect.

Kenwright knows how to hire an average Joe.

Luckily we're rich and have ambition now! (We hope)

The substitute at the time was fine.

Lennon was playing more as a second striker than wide left. Niasse is regarded as hard working so with Lennon tiring it wasn't a bad choice.

Also Niasse is fast which by playing him meant West Ham's defence couldn't step up ten yards and kettle us in. It also meant we had out ball options (he's strong and can make the ball stick in their final third) with him and Lukaku for a defence who were coping admirably but bound to have some late pressure.

As you can see it had valid reasons. It's only been blown up in hindsight due to the hysteria that you and many others are engaging in.

We got beat because we tired eventually with ten men, we didn't handle the crosses so late and because we imploded psychologically after the first goal went in.

Niasse or that sub wasn't the reason we lost so it just looks daft frothing over the chops at it. It wasn't bringing Hibbert on when losing 2-1 at home to Spurs with the clock going down.

That's OK then.
