Quite funny that all the "plotters" wanted was the manager to identify the issue at hand and try and solve it while others wanted the over passing etc etc to continue. Looks like those who questioned him were right after all

The "plotters" also said he had no plan B and we'd continue to lose games as a result of his persistence with the exact same style of play.

Let's be fair, it took 21 games for him to change his tactics and go more defensive and realise that getting a clean sheet is a foundation to build on. And we've still won 2 in 15 so we haven't exactly turned a corner, but like I said, foundations first

Shocking really how we're still stuck on a small club mentality. Both fans and players

There is no difference towards how he approached the derby here than the one at the beginning of the season tbh

It brought a record points total and our best season in years last season. We got off to a poor start this season for various reasons. Mostly a poor pre-season, injuries and players being out of form which has led to our confidence being smashed to bits, which is what we're trying to gradually rectify currently.

The style of play worked brilliantly last season and there's no reason to suggest that it can't do so again.

Last season was not the same style of play that he embarked up on this season.

I think it reflects worse on the players that he's had to go back and re-teach them the basics tbh. He has got far from everything right, Martinez, but there are very few players that can honestly say they've performed anywhere near last season's levels.
