Agree with Neiler wholeheartedly. Ok, some games have been tighter than I'd like and I agree that our throw ins are not all that (although they have improved massively of late...Leicester had no idea where we going to throw it today), but a combination of bad weather today coupled with second season syndrome suggests we are not doing too badly. If we can overhaul Stoke, I do not think many will be calling for Bobby's head.
We're a team in development with a radical change in philosphey, we got the blend right last season Prob by an overall freshness. But the adjustment from Daveys deadpan conservative tactics I think have taken their toll and we are in a normal phase of adjustment. Age, injuries, extra games and change of philosphey has challenged our progress this season. We're seeing a passing of the gaurd, Barkley, Lukaku, Stones are being asked to be men, being offered the opportunity we all know they will live up to, there not there yet, but they need our support and patience.
As fans we need to look broader, as a club we need to continue to develop, we need to slowly phase out the old gaurd and supplement the world class talents those three young players are. It's the process we need to understand philosphey, opportunity, change and development. The players and manager need us to understand that, we're building something, something that could be brilliant, but it needs time and a step back presently. Everyone wants to go to heaven but no one wants to die.
