Ergo it follows that "winning the possession" does not always equate to winning the actual match.

So very true! He's not given credit when it's due, I for one wouldn't have tinkered with the formations pre-match, but it takes guts to sack off a striker and bring on a holding midfielder, when you're losing. He knew the benefits that would come. Excellent job.
They should have a posession statistic for the opponents half aswell, cos how great really is concentrating on winning posession when you find out half of it is round your own 18 yard box, tho we have been doing alot better this season than last year in that respect with stones bringing ball out + barkley going on his runs
